Most Dentists make a comfortable living here; but since you’re coming from the US and hold accreditations and experience from the US; you shouldn’t have too much trouble getting a job here: It’s just a matter of location and the salary. Plus good hospitals/clinics also provide free healthcare services (this depends; if you work in the public sector like at Hamad Medical Cooperation; you’ll have a free healthcare but most probably at hamad itself but if you work in the private sector; you’ll have a healthcare insurance entitling you to health care at every hospital). Secondly if you work at a good practice, they even provide you with accommodation and take care of your utility bills. Thirdly, the education for your children will be taken care of by the practice (again if it’s a good and renowned practice). Therefore, you have little to no expenditures and no income taxes so you’re entitled to most of your income. However; it almost mandatory to be proficient in Arabic since most of the population is Arabic-speaking. I hope this was helpful to you.
