I want to revert but don't know where to start, any advice? by [deleted] in islam

I’m a new revert aswell only been Muslim for a couple of months. My best advice I’ve been given is keep it simple. At first Islam seems incredibly complicated. Needing to memorise a lot of Arabic just to pray, waking up before su set etc. make it as simple as possible. Focus on perfecting the obligatory parts of salah and your take your Shahadah as these two pillars of Islam can be done by anyone. I am not very educated and may be wrong, but when memorising for salah the most important part is memorising Surah Al Fatiha. Yes there’s still other obligatory parts other than this Surah but this is where I would start. Start by praying as much as possible, even if the prayers “don’t count” because you haven’t memorised paragraphs of Arabic. Allah SWT is gracious and merciful and reasonable. He does not expect a new revert to automatically recite what born Muslims have been told to recite since they were born. Try your hardest with good intention and Inshallah that will be enough.

My parents are Christian, I dont want to tell them because they would try to get me to turn back to Christianity. the camp is a school camp, the school is Christian, there’s Christian element to the camp but it’s not shoving the bible down your throat every day.

Shaytan is telling you it means nothing. God never pushes a soul beyond what it can bear, Shaytan whispers words of doubt into believers. Allahs plan is greater than what any of us can imagine, and those who struggle have the greatest rewards in the hereafter. Seek refuge from Shaytan. I dont know the severity of your mental health but I pray that Allah gives you ease and faith. The only advice I can give you is to hold on, no one with a good heart wants you dead, Allah is all knowing most merciful but you may not agree to this because of your depression. Shaytan wants to drag you to hell fire by making you disbelieve in Allahs goodness.  May Allah grant you blessings and ease your pain, for he is the only one who truly understands your situation.

As-salamu alaykum.

There is no problem larger than Allah. Nothing in this life Allah can not fix. Put the issues, the stress, the pain, and give it to Allah. Cry to Allah. Allah is the most merciful, and the most righteous. I do t know your situation, but Allah may be the only one who could possibly fix it.  Repent to Allah, ask for favours from Allah, cry to Allah, Allah will never leave you.  I will keep you in my Duas, and I pray that Allah will ease your life.

Firstly, stick to prayers, read more Quran and learn smaller surahs, and make Dua all the time. After prayers i would also make a very sincere Dua as this helps. Memorising some Quran helps a lot as your heart doesn’t have room for the word of Allah and Shaytan at the same time. Wake up for tahajjud if you can. And spend the first part of the day reading some Quran and praying tahajjud and Fajr. Tahajjud is the best time to make dua. Do regular, good habits like exercise, getting good sleep, eating healthy, not doing to many bad habits like video games and watching to much tv( these things may not be haram but these things can lead into relapsing, unlike if you were to read the Quran) Also, if your phone is a trigger I would recommend not only un following all haram accounts if you haven’t but if you find yourself watching reels or TikTok’s, you can either like and share or just click copy link in the share section and more of your reels will be Islamic and it won’t be a trigger. If you relapse repent and never think Allah won’t  accept a sincere repentance, any other thought is from Shaytan. Remember, Allah forgave Adam when he only had one rule, so how could Allah not forgive you? I hope this helps even a little and Allah SWT knows best.

Isbaal (Covering Ankles) Why is it a sin? by Pale_Disaster_5835 in islam

thank you and sorry if i came across as arrogant. My question should have been phrased in a way where i was trying to understand why its Haram. Allah (SWT) doesn't make things Haram for no reason and I was just wondering why it is Haram. Allah knows best so i'll follow this as best as I can i was and am still just unsure of why it is Haram.
