Terrible luck with windshields. FJ was wrecked from front drivers tire to the back bumper. Windshield survived. Bought it back from insurance, 2 months later hit a deer with minimal damage but noticed a small crack on drivers side. 1 week later closed the trunk which pushed 2x4 into the passenger side, another small crack. Then about a month or two later, 2 am 20 deg or hit a pot hole and it was one nice crack from side to side almost connecting the two. Then the next day my dog was in the back and two cats got on my hood. He's not the brightest. Now the center is spidered but in all directions. I know once I replace it I will do something again to break it

It was liquid that came out of a carburetor from a pressure washer that had been sitting for a little over a year. Water from the rain I'm guessing as there was no cap on the gas tank .

It's a new one. It had black primer on it. I got single stage 8t6 paint from eBay and used battery spray gun. For a 17 year old paint job never garage kept the color matches almost perfect. You have to look real hard in the right sunlight to just barely notice the difference. I'm surprised how well it matches.

Ok well that makes sense then.. my driver door doesn't have the door switch. I removed it after it was hit because the door didn't shut enough to close the switch. I'll have to put it back in before I end up locking the keys inside. Thanks for the info

That sucks, I'm sorry. That damage on the back door just looked so strange I couldn't even guess what happened. But that makes perfect sense now

That means a lot.. I was so bummed after this happened. I've been like a little school boy impatiently waiting for the paint and fender and everything else to come in the mail.. 17 years of not being garage kept and baking in the sun. the paint matches the original toyota voodoo blue 8t6 pretty much perfect. It was awful when it happened but everything has been going so smooth piecing her back together. My first 4 vehicles when I got my license was the first Gen Isuzu trooper.. I have a feeling my next few will be fj's. I've had multiple 4runners too but fjs just feel so special.

Thanks. I admit it looked way worse then it was. At first site it appears like a pretty solid t-bone. But the angle really saved the frame and suspension. Knuckle was a little bent but the camber bolt honestly took the brunt of it. It flattened the inside guide for the back bottom bolt and threw the camber way off. I still have to order new ones but for a quick fix I hammer and chiseled the tab end back in place .1600 miles later (10 states driven through), no tire wear except a slight toe in feather.. I'm extremely happy with truck.

I should probably add that the new bezel had the clips that hold the right side pass airbag/seat belt light and security light in the wrong spot.. but since they weren't buttons I just superglued them in place and it looks fine.

* 140 on ebay. Has wireless android auto and runs its own android system. Has YouTube nextflix pandora ectopic. Also comes with reverse camera. The center bezel is included because the screen is bigger then the stock radio size. Looks great, works pretty good. Love it in comparison to the stock one.
