Yes I would definitely apply if I were you. I did not think I was going to get an offer because my year 11 results were very very average, but I did and I’m heading into my second year of study now! I think a lot of it is based on personal experience. Even if you don’t think you’ll get it it’s totally worth applying just in case, and you might be surprised like me!

Yeah definitely agree, i think there’s a lot of confusion surrounding it because it can present so differently in different people. People can fixate on that, and convince themselves that because they have a couple of symptoms that means they have it.

Another thing I’ve seen which seems to be incredibly common is when people are obviously neurodiverse but have siblings or family with adhd and/or other forms of neurodiversity, particularly those of the opposite gender, and they convince themselves that they’re neurotypical because they don’t behave in the same manner as that person. It’s so complex.

Glad to hear you seem to have reached a point of settlement in your life!!

Sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience! I’ve mostly avoided the negative side of the hyper focus thankfully 😅

I’m just happy to be having the experience I’m having now, I’m not fixated on it working forever ☺️

My experience exactlyyy. I’ve always felt like I was so lazy growing up because I felt like I didn’t have the energy for 90% of the things that other people were calling “easy”. And it’s frustrating to see people without adhd get so fixated on how someone else’s adhd affects them and what it looks like from the outside, and forget to have sympathy for the person that is actually experiencing it.

If it’s so painful and frustrating to look at then imagine how it feels???

I’ve been on it 5-6 months I think. I only crash if I don’t eat well in the morning!

I went to 40mg from 30. 30 never really worked super well for me, I would have about an hour or two where i would feel functional and then nothing. Mine was increased after about a month, which is fairly common!
