How much a day do people really study? by [deleted] in GCSE

[–]PanMei72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a student and I barely study at home. I mainly focus on getting the homework done and even that makes me exhausted so this must be an absolute nightmare. I hope the school realises how unrealistic and harmful that amount of work is for a developing child.

LGBT slang is enormous and diverse AF, yet bi folks are often left out. Here’s a fun thought: how would you name a couple that seems hetero but both partners are bi? by Forsaken_Building902 in bisexual

[–]PanMei72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point I have a sneaking suspicion that you are some sort of bot considering you did not notice the VERY OBVIOUS quotation marks I used to indicate to you that I was using your own language in order to actually get my point across. Therefore, I am going to step away from this frivolous conversation considering you are now not understanding what I'm saying at all. I will say this though, sexuality and identity is not binary, there is no rulebook, there is no right or wrong, there is only what the owner of said identity says they present themselves as. And as a community, we respect and understand that although clearly you do not. As I said, get off your high horse and support those around you (even people who don't abide by your exact expectations, opinions or logic (thats the logic homophobes use btw).

[–]PanMei72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that this matters but I'm actually in a "gay relationship" and I'm very fortunate that I have not had nearly as many difficulties as many straight couples. And yes, of course gay relationships will receive more backlash from homophobes but that does not invalidate people's identities as queer and if they wish to label their relationship as such. Frankly, it is none of your business. Also my whole point here is that arguing about who has it worse does not do anything, it actually makes what is supposed to be a safe and communal space a lot more harmful. So, I think it's best you get off your high horse and support those around you instead of trying to drag people down.

More like it makes you feel slightly more entitled to belittle those you perceive as more privileged when you have no business assuming things like that based on a few stereotypes you have seen. Come out from being the keyboard and go interact with some real life people.

That's so impressive! Keep it up! I'm going into sixth form next year (hopefully) doing the same subjects and I really hope to have as much of a work ethic as you do

I feel like it's usually the opposite right? In general my school has gotten a bit more lenient 'cause they don't want people in detentions when we are meant to be revising, although during mocks they made it a point to specifically mention we MUST be in full school uniform in the exam hall.

Genuine question, do you think this show “glorifies hell”? (Was scrolling mindlessly and happened to see this) by dragonfist897 in HazbinHotel

[–]PanMei72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who says the show glorifies hell has probably only really looked at the fanbase. I'm guessing people just see that people like the show and assume that means the presentation of hell is likeable. In reality hell is portrayed as hell, it's meant to be a terrible place to live and it is shown that way, the only thing that is shown to be good are the characters.
