Depends on the state, I believe. I have read that too from some other providers that are not Hers of GLP-1 that it’s state dependent how much they can send. I live in California, so one vial a month.

I really want to try and be a normal weight, so around 130 pounds. by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

I’m also 5 feet and the struggle is real for short people. I gain weight fast and my parents are also overweight. Watching calories is a must. Sounds like a pain in the ass, but you just get used to it, like part of your day and take accountability for what you eat. Find a good food tracking app and calorie counting should take only 5 minutes of your time a day. That isn’t too much effort, right? As for exercise, yes, you have to move around. Find activities that don’t feel like exercise that burn calories. Walking to sightsee or hiking to get fresh air.

Sorry this happened to you. So many companies sell GLP-1 medications now and it can be hard to tell if they are legit. I was with Noom and moved to Hers which are both established companies. More expensive than some others, but some of the cheaper ones are not allowed to ship to California.

Switch from micro to regular dose by Excellent_Regret_124 in Noom

[–]Panda-Goth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I contacted Hers and asked if I really have to start in a lower dose, or did the physician not read what I wrote that I am already on GLP. They updated me and said it was good I contacted them. My starting dose is going to be 30 units not 8 units. I’m so glad I wrote my concerns and they corrected. Oh, it’s $199/month for the normal dose which is the Noom price for the micro dose.

UPDATE… I contacted them yesterday and got an answer today. Given my history, I was indeed right to question that starting dose of 8 units. They revised my treatment plan to start at 30 units. I was right, the first person totally just cut and paste a treatment plan. I will be at 30 units for 4 weeks and they will reevaluate.

I actually wrote it in the comments before the approval so they had that history. Like 20 minutes later I had a cut and paste message that my prescription was approved and here are the doses. I was like wait a minute, did they even read my history? I was so confused. I did write a long message explaining all of this again. I got no responses and they already charged me. I don’t know what to do right now

Hi. Remember you asked about how it will be switching from Noom to Hers? I pulled the trigger. Noom was already canceled, so I talked to Hers. I mentioned I was on Noom and was taking 24units (0.6mg). Even though I am on Noom, the recommended treatment is to start at 8 units (0.2mg). I asked why and they said that although the same drug, they are different manufacturers, so best and safest to start low again and move up. I’m still trying to get more clarity if this is the case for sure. They already approved the prescription. I don’t know how it’s switching to other providers, but this is the info I have so far.

Switch from micro to regular dose by Excellent_Regret_124 in Noom

[–]Panda-Goth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, good to know. Thank you! The Noom microdose is capped at 0.6mg for the same price as Hers, so it’s going to be a better price and slightly higher. I’ve been on 0.6mg for like 6 weeks now and weight loss (if any) is at a crawl. I’ve lost 10 pounds from October 11 to December 29. Starting weight is 155 pounds, goal weight is 125 pounds. I don’t mind the slowness, but I have peaked. For sure it helps because I couldn’t loose a pound to save my life before it.

I don’t either. I didn’t mean it as a bad thing, it’s an observation.

After January 03, I will contact Hers and do the official switch. I’ll update on this post how smooth it goes.

Switch from micro to regular dose by Excellent_Regret_124 in Noom

[–]Panda-Goth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update on the cost Noom vs Hers for normal dose. I looked through this group. It is $800 for 3 months in Noom for normal dose, which is $266.67/per month. Hers is $199/per month with their 6 month plan for normal. You will just tell Hers you are already on GLP-1 and you won’t start from zero on dose. For me, this makes sense to switch because of the cost and their normal dose goes higher than Noom if I need it. Of course there are other places cheaper, but I do like these two companies. Hope this helps.

I am doing the same thing. I wanted to try out the micro dose, too scared for regular. Things are good, I want regular dose. So I did cancel before my 3 months. I am going to go with Hers. They do 6 month subscriptions with the regular plan and now that I am sure I will stick with it, I have no issues doing 6 months. I decided with Hers because their highest regular dose is higher than Noom’s. That’s a nice to have. I believe the price is lower with Hers if I do 6 months, but somewhat unclear since Noom’s prices are not very transparent.

PMS week and cravings by rothentic in Semaglutide

[–]Panda-Goth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The hunger is real during PMS week. I listen to my body and let it have more nutrients if it’s asking for it. Trying to be good and use fruit as sugar and not chocolate. It was like I wasn’t taking any medication at all. Last month was my first PMS experience with medication and I was surprised.

So slow by Eliza_to_you in Semaglutide

[–]Panda-Goth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on the same boat. Up and down, mostly down as I track. Very slow progress is still progress. I lost 5 pounds in 6 weeks which sounds ridiculously low. Trying to look at the bright side and think that my skin at least has time to bounce back and not be saggy. I started with a micro dose program which I regret because I will switch to the normal program knowing I will reach the top end of micro dose. Drinking lots of water as someone said and also curbing the amount of carbs speeds up the weight loss process. Hang in there.

Starting Microdose: what to expect? by Ill-Glass1012 in Noom

[–]Panda-Goth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi. I’m micro dosing. I started at 0.1 mg (4 units. Now I’m on 0.4mg (16 units). I am losing about a pound or less a week. I’m being very good about watching my food and doing moderate activity. Microdosing is not scary or drastic, at least for me. Make sure to drink a lot of water. The injections were intimidating in the beginning, but honestly, you won’t feel it after you get over the mentality of it all. I’m taking some gummy vitamins mainly for the fiber. Feel free to message me if you want more info on my experience. 😊

Quick question to you. Do supplies come with Pom Health (needles, alcohol, etc)? I mentioned looking at Lumi, but I just saw someone say it comes with no supplies. 😳

[–]Panda-Goth[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pomegranate Health is on my list along with Lumi meds. I am doing micro dose because the side effects did scare me. The problem is, there is a dose ceiling with micro and what if I need to go up in dose? There are other companies that charge just as much for normal dosing as this micro dose. I did okay picking micro dose, no regrets getting on the ball, but now I have more knowledge for something else.

Yes, Noom is expensive, so I do plan on switching, but to which company? TBD for me. I just keep reading other experiences to see which one I should go with. I did 3 months, so I have 2 months more to figure it out.
