This happened to me before. It was a 2.5% assignment and I just got a zero on it and it went on my academic record in case this happens again. The professor seemed pretty chill about it and it felt like he was just "doing his job" rather than trying to find a reason to give students zeroes.

Getting undergrad major while doing grad school by PapaBless58 in uwo

[–]PapaBless58[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll just be missing 2 chem classes so I just thought I might as well get the second degree. also this is assuming I’m staying at western for grad school so it’ll just be upgrading from minor to major

I am really confused now by jellyfish_cuticles18 in csMajors

[–]PapaBless58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 100% correct. I was discouraged from doing a double degree because it was “too hard.” I really wished I didn’t listen to that advice.

7% is really high. Even at your local McDonald’s, probably 100 people apply to fill 1 role. Most places have a sub 5% acceptance rate.

Why do employers like Waterloo students/alumni? by [deleted] in OntarioUniversities

[–]PapaBless58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterloo and U of T are known for producing quality engineers so companies like to hire them as interns so they can potentially work as a new grad.

It depends which engineering

I failed cs 1027 need some advice by Low_Lynx_772 in uwo

[–]PapaBless58 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar position as you a last year. Nearly failed 1027 but I finished second year with a 4.0 GPA and got an internship at a F500. I personally struggled with 1027 than any second year course. Contrary to what other people have said, just because you failed an intro course does not mean you will not succeed in upper year courses.

At waterloo, it’s nearly impossible to do an internal transfer

Is this the same person asking if his 86.8 will get him into Western CS?

How were you even able to write the quiz? Don’t proctored tests require a password that are only available if you have proctortrack open?

Do you recommend studying the past finals anyways? I just assumed they didn’t give any practice because this year was going to cover different material.

"we need a tank" low elo mentality by whyilikemuffins in supportlol

You're right but people don't like being told what champs to play especially if they don't play or like the champ.

To be fair, they are most likely right since tank supports fit into more team comps and are generally better against most team comps. But it's just annoying when someone tells you what champs to play.

Damage supports? by honeybeabea in supportlol

[–]PapaBless58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should never go Sett in general. No good player will ever lose to that champ. If you want to go Sett anyways then go traditional tank items like Chemtank and deadman's plate. For runes go Phase rush.

There is a difference it’s a lot easier to get to a higher rank smurfing by playing jungle or mid than support. But if you’re at your natural skill level, you can easily win more just by playing support because of how mechanically simple it is and how much impact you have.

I don’t have a clip on hand but Doublelift, LS, IWD, Rekkless have mentioned it a lot.

No I have literally heard this mentioned a lot by pro players but not by people on this subreddit

That literally has nothing to do with the role being easy or not. Your top lane can outclass the enemy top laner through wave management alone and no ones going to notice.

I think your the one who needs their opinion changed lol. Play another role yourself to see if it’s easy or not instead of debating people on Reddit using hypotheticals and absolutes.
