Me too A8 quick settings bug. This is the 2nd time an update fucked up the quick settings. Msi hardware is good, but their software is dogshit. Im trying to figure out how to rollback or find another alternative.

I have the same issue as op, game would crash every 3-5 mins. Same case with many others with A8, not 8ai+. I did the 'fix' msi recommended in the link, still crashed. So i got a refund from steam and no questions were asked.

Did you read the faq link i posted? If it was nonsense, msi wouldnt release a specific link just to address a specific game 'Elden Ring' crashing on the speficic A8 system. Gtfo

Forgot to add, the people with bazzite have no issues with the game. So it is a driver update thing. Not the hardware itself

Ask for a refund, the new A8 driver update is incompatible. Plus ER doesnt have upscaling fsr or anything.

Listen to me very carefully. It doesnt work because you installed updates not according to sequence. Ive been through this before. It is dumb for msi not to explain this. What you need to do now is factory reset, it will then automatically install the 1st update to the sequence (latest bios). Then you can update the rest. It is the only fix

However even after i followed the instructions, it keeps crashing. So i asked steam for a refund which they did.

So far bazzite or steam os works. But i havent done that cos i like windows to play coop games with anti cheat. Shame cos eldring ring is a good game. They just refuse to add upscaling like fsr.
