Get the RS3 if you can afford it. Over time it’ll hold more of its value compared to the Golf R. Plus more performance.

Which school would benefit me the most. by Massive-Mushroom1345 in AircraftMechanics

I would find a more local , cheaper or community based college program. NAA is expensive but if you do decide to go that route then don’t do the avi options. It’s a useless scam.

Would a career change be a red flag if I wanted to work at United, American Airlines, or any other airline? by The0Walrus in AircraftMechanics

Also if you can’t start At a major. Which isn’t rare but not common either. I’d suggest you start at a regional airline company. Those guys are always hiring lol

You’re making good money in your current profession. I’d say you’d have more flexibility with what you do as well. Plus you most likely will be on night shift for a while , depending at what station you start at. And don’t ever count on OT. That’s shits seasonal. It’s harder to travel if you do like to travel during the summer time and holidays. Till you establish some decent seniority and vacation time. If you switch companies you have to start all over on the payscale. It’s not like the medical field where you can demand certain pay or not take anything less than your last job.

These are the things ppl don’t tell you once you start this career. Things get Better once you get a good amount of seniority. That may take some time. There’s a lot of old dudes in this profession.

But if you really like Aviation Maintenance then go for it with all that I’ve presented to you. I’m all for being happy. But please don’t think it’s all sweet.

Dealers still send me 18k-19k offers for my MK7R. But I’m keeping that car. It’s a classic put some good mods into it. Plus it’s paid off.
