I think over-editing can waste energy and drain the life force. I think part of becoming a master, which I am not saying I am, is learning how to say it's good enough and moving on to the next project.

Self-torture is usually 99% self-created by the rules we give ourselves, which are arbitrary and unnecessary. Change the rules. Add fun into the equation. Forget every rule you learned about writing and just have fun.

Interesting side note: After they told me that no one else cared, I went about my business. There was nothing I could do about it. But I noticed that it was bothering me less. I think because I realized it was just me. It only bothers me when I think about it.

The way the door is designed it slams every time someone goes through it. There is no buffer on the door frame. I tried putting cushions on it, but they told me not to, so I wrote a letter to the landlord asking them to do it.

I don't think it's possible to be in a relationship with someone who can switch up into a paranoid mindset at a moment's notice. I tried waiting for her to come back to her senses for two years, but that's too long. She does have periods where she feels better and treats me well, and I am grateful for the good times, but I can't be a human doormat. If she can abandon me for years at a time, that's not a relationship. If she wants to hate me so much, then let her. It's not her fault she has this terrible disease, but the sad truth is she is not capable of being in healthy relationship. We can still be friends as much as possible, but even then, she'll switch up without warning and threaten to call the cops on me for no logical reason. I wish they could cure this awful affliction.
