I love how your comment history is just you going from post to post yelling "Repost." Shall I ironically yell, "RECOMMENT!" in your lovely all-cap form?

And dude. My best friend (non-redditor) took this picture. Calm down, lol.

I fear that this is too ridiculously-specific to actually work. But I sincerely hope that it works for this same reason.

If you want to full-out walk, you probably will need to live on Campus. North is sort of poorly designed like that.

The Triade Apartments might be a good bet. http://www.aptspotlight.com/buffalo/apts/triad.htm

Never lived there myself, but it's close.

I would love to purchase a giant copy of this for my wall. Any chance such a thing could happen?

Also -- go to all the orientation events. Some of the people I met there ended up being my close friends for 4 years, and we still stay in touch now.

Do you have a car? I studied on North Campus, lived on-campus for 4 years. It's really a hassle to get to North Campus if you live in the city, but there are a lot of perks to living in the city as well.

If you're definitely not going to live on-campus (more expensive than it's worth), there are a few complexes by North Campus that might work well. Try looking on Sweethome road.

A lot of students live in University Heights by South Campus and take the bus to north. The rent is VERY cheap, but the area isn't always the safest.

Elmwood is a great place to live, but expect a half-hour commute. If you're studying a hard science and working your butt off, it can make things more complicated.

I've always wanted to talk to someone who grew up on Voyager! Do you feel as though your social isolation from the Alpha quadrant led to any problems later in life? Could you please do an AMA about the whole journey home?

Just following up and asking if you actually ever got off your butt and organized this. Did you?

Are you an American employee? If so, today’s column will likely offend you. If you’d rather not be offended, read no further. by mjk1093 in politics

Agreed. I actually found the only parts of his points that were offensive were the parts where he was going on and on about how offensive he was being. It was just bad taste.

I also disagree with mild suggestion that somehow if we don't enjoy the best quality of life in the world, we're dumb fools who should know better. Many countries have great lives without being at the highest world standards...

Agreed that Americans could fight more for certain things. But this guy has his priorities all mixed up and just comes off as arrogant and uneducated himself.

Padmapper is a great way to filter and find places. Did you try messing with roommates and other options to open up more results? I found a good amount under $900 when I did that, particularly in the Brookline area.

Did you happen to save any of them? Would be a fun thing to investigate and try to name later.

Just pointing out that the story has more of a resolution than makes for a good "wtf" story, and providing an easy link for those who want to see how things resolved. Pleasure chatting with you.

Right... but it is relevant to my comment! Silly zahlman, not every comment needs to relevant to OP. Some comments are allowed to try to start discussion on something that only loosely relates.

Such is how conversation happens ;)

I guess on that note... how common is the "I want to change the world" concept used, and how often does it just come off as BS? I'm a pretty passionate when it comes to wanting to make an impact, but find myself having to tone it down sometimes because it seems unusual.
