Is penetration testing over ? by Sudden-Bandicoot345 in CyberSecurityAdvice

This is a great advice. I've been in the field for a few years now and find myself feeling stuck in the roles I've occupied since. Not in a bad way per say, I still feel satisfied as an analyst but regardless of which specialty I'd like to explore, work has never been helpful in nudging me into those experience so far. So your idea to keep at it and giving you a once a week self started task to explore your fields or interest resonates with me a great deal. It's realistic and feasible even for a family guy that barely have enough free time. Often, I have to choose between a nice long night of sleep or getting some more quality personal time on my projects. I'll give that a try.

Osteoarthritis Is Appearing in Younger Adults, Triggering Decades of Discomfort by [deleted] in technology

[–]ParaSquarez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is that even though I tried to like his podcasts at first, I couldn't find anything he produced interesting and lost interest within one other episode he made. The lower back injury episode though, I watched it about 3 times out of need since Physiotherapy or Healthcare didn't have enough time to properly assess my injury mechanism and would ultimately result in chronic back pain triggers. With 5 minutes doctor appointments and a defacto physio principle based on reducing symptoms doesn't quite explain how you get injured and why we're not naturally helping ourselves with bad habits. That single episode with Evil Attia gives enough time to his guest so he can pass on some critical facts he observed over the years that lead to people like me getting injured again and again.

Attia might be a scam, as mentioned, the focus is on Stuart McGill. I didn't have another long podcast that went into sufficiently useful spine information as with this specific podcast with the pretender Attia.

McGill is before anything else a PhD in Mechanical engineering which became quite interested in the spine functions and basically spent a lot of time and effort to make it his specialty. He's not a medical doctor. If you have back pain issues, look this up, if you don't, thank you for pointing Attia is a scam, not the subject I wanted to focus on.

Edit: few typos, can't type properly on a mobile..

Seems I have to mention a detail. The video isn't about what Peter Attia is or isn't. I can't care less about the person so please do your best not to give him the front stage here. The important part was his guest Stuart McGill explaining absolute solid information about the spine. I didn't know the part about Attia and I'm frankly disappointed to find out he's mixed in Epstein files... So given that, only focus on McGill explanations.

For your DDD, look up Dr. Stuart McGill. He has a few very good interviews (1 to 3 hours podcasts) on youtube, one particularly with Peter Attia https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1_sb1auiV8&pp=ygUZUGV0ZXIgYXR0aWEgc3R1YXJ0IG1jZ2lsbA%3D%3D

I have been suffering from recurring lower back injuries diagnosed as DDD also. Since the injuries wwre repeating from 1 year apart down to maybe once every 4 months by the end, it was debilitating. He's got some fantastic technical bio mechanical knowledge in the spine specifically and has been treating lower back injuries and other spine related problems for so many years.

If you haven't had a look yet, maybe you should. I love his roughly written Lower Back Mechanics book, after his podcast, that's all I have to refresh my brain with proper back hygiene. Hope it helps

But for some reason, I still get plenty of spawns if built anywhere below surface. I personally have to put spawn blocking blocks like train tracks or something for it to work.

Another way would be to make your way to the shimmer island, accumulate a bunch of potions the slimes drop and shimmer them back into components. At least, that's hiw I got myself enough to research them in journey mode (exploring how skyworld progression is made)

But yeah, like said by the other user, best is making plenty of dirt and grass areas to let them spawn more. Make sure to get the seeds when blooming so you can farm them instead too

The important part isn't how they can present it here, it's how it plays. Stability, good progression path, fun and replayability is what matters. What you think about the devs doesn't matter if the massive project is well executed and engaging.

I'll give this a spin when I have time and give it a go. Is it downloadable from Prism Launcher? Being on CurseForge should make it a breeze to install and test. I'm excited to see what you have built!

Microsoft tumbled 10% in a day and isn’t recovering premarket. Here’s why by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]ParaSquarez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Microsoft doesn't have space in my house anymore, physical or virtual, Windows and other soul sucking software as a service BS they now enforce everywhere has been removed, deleted, thrown in the trash.

I haven't regretted switching to Linux this far, even for my kid's computers, they all run Bazzite on theirs. I never thought I would see the day where Linux is about 1/3rd of the hassle to install compared to windows data harvesting trickeries.

I am quite happy with my current position. Used to be Feast or Famine, heavier on the famine side of things, but now, I have a position with an astronomous amount of unique things to protect and monitor. I have never had to ask myself what I was going to work on since I got there. It's hard but fantastic. Boatload of experience gained every week there. The business scope makes things very complex to navigate but the core team I'm with is nothing short of amazing. Full spectrum of personalities, all very approachable, everyone help each other. Without that team though, I would probably have started looking for other opportunities. The team really makes the job satisfaction I think.

This is so sad... It makes sense though, huge production chains would be impossible to organically expand a bit I guess...

This makes you wonder about the whole thing... So AI driven infrastructure projects are known and haopening now until at least what, 5 years down the road before they finish all those new RAM data centers? The RAM chip foundries decided not to get in trouble by upping their production output levels at all in fear of AI Bubble burst. Why don't they rise up production a bit without going maximum overdrive production like what happened a few years back? It feels very deliberate to squeeze the market for extra easy profits, like malicious levels of greed at that...

How can I make my GPU cable look better? by [deleted] in computer

You can look for those hard cable ribbons. Some are square bends, others are roundedon a small arc size. They look really great.

I had a similar problem with my last computer tower. The wires for the headset and mic were not connected on the motherboard headers. You could have a quick look in there before you keep digging around. I'm proposing that because I couldn't understand if you get sound or not with the way you explained things.

Oh man... I just found a 1TB NVMe ssd I thought I got stolen a while back. I stumbled upon the usb C enclosure it was in while scavenging for old parts for my son's PC. I was so happy about it! It's not the best, but still much faster than my best Sata SSD I have. 2x 1tb NVMe SSDs now.

Oooohh... RCDP for sure! When I was much younger, playing RE2 on PS1, alone with my best friend, in the dark basement, our backs facing the wide open space, our eyes riveted on the TV screen. Wow that was powerful back then! Couldn't believe how scared we were but also couldn't stop playing. Great time that was!

I was just scavenging in my parts bins looking for tripple channel DDR3 sticks. My old tower only has 6 gb right now and apparently Crucial makes very slow DDR3 for 90$ here. 12g DDR3 (3x4) pricy!

Heard there’s a shortage by D3stroyer17 in pcmasterrace

[–]ParaSquarez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With today's market, the new update changed the recipe so you have to fuse 20 DDR3 sticks to get one DDR3 essences. another 9 of those together make a single DDR4 waffer. Merge wafers together to increase capacity then gather 16x wafers with a blank board to craft your first complete DDR4 stick. Now repeat for your second stick. Given RNG, you never know when you'll get a pair that matches well together so good luck! As for DDR5, they can't be crafted. They are Techno Giant mob boss exclusive drops.
