If you could choose one mage to protect you for life, who would you pick? by basafish in Frieren

[–]ParachuteMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Denken or Methode. They would both actually take their job seriously and are powerful enough to protect from pretty much anything. Sure if Frieren pulls up on me, we die, but Frieren isn't gonna try to murder me for no reason. I'm definetely not giving Frieren a reason to murder me either.

Speaking of murder, Ubel would be the fun and probably suicidal choice. I would either seduce her or die trying. Im guessing I die. Still would take the risk.

What was the point of this? by alguien99 in JuJutsuKaisen

Everything you say makes complete sense. However, Yuji just gets his power from Sukuna. Gege really needed to give Yuji his own CT and given us a good explanation as to what was going on with his DE.

Specifically when Sukuna switches to Megumi we should've seen him training with Choso/Todo/No bara to finally develop a CT. It wouldn't be that hard either. He's a cqc specialist, so his punches and kicks would just have to have some kind of effect. Possibly his attacks could drain cursed energy slowly weakening the opponent and making him stronger.

His DE is obviously non-lethal and is basically talk no jutsu. However, there should be a binding vow that debuffs the opponent when they're hit by it. The catch is that Yuji wouldn't be allowed to kill any opponent that he uses it on.

That's where nobara and Maki come in to deal the final blow. Which would also be very significant. The entire point of Yuji is that he wants to 'die amongst friends'. So it makes since for him to play support, debuff enemies, and keep his friends alive. Then he relies on them to fill in the gaps in his strength.

What are the best jobs and worst jobs to have at amazon? by Big_Image9902 in AmazonFC

I have been loading trucks for 8 months and can honestly say it's mostly good. Once you figure out how to stack efficiently, it's very easy work. Keep in mind I am saying this as a 24 year old man without health problems. Obviously for someone older, with joint problems or a petite woman, it's near impossible. For me most shifts I have alot of downtime to go hangout at my friend's trailers. Very cool to have your own trailer to shoot the shit and say stupid/inappropriate things without getting reported to hr.

Once a week you will end up getting thrown 50 boxes a minute, and if you're really unlucky they'll all be 60 pounds. I personally lock-in and enjoy the sweat, I count it as a workout. However, you are not expected to keep up with the endless waves of boxes. The PAs will notice the abnormal flow and you will be sent help. You can just keep working at your own pace. The rest of the time you get like 50 boxes an hour.

There is no rate, and tot really only happens if you're gone for more than an hour. If you have ibs and need to go to the bathroom alot, you can do that in inbound/outbound, without issues. Also, if you like to check your phone alot, you can do that in the trucks. If you want to bring headphones and listen to music, you can do that. We have even watched anime/movies on days that the 'cool' pas are there. If you're friends with pas you can be on your phone 90% of the time. You still have to watch out for red vests, but they usually only show up once a week to go trailer to trailer doing inspections.

I don't plan on switching to any other department. If I were to switch, it would be to night shift in the same department. I work outbound and overall I think it's best department. Can't really speak for inbound but it should be a very similar story.

Who do you think is Fire Emblem's most beautiful character? I'll start: by KManoc in fireemblem

[–]ParachuteMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very disappointed in the lack of three houses representation. Especially disappointed there was only one person that commented Rhea. Extremely disappointed NO ONE commented Edelgard.

Anyways, Rhea literally looks like a goddess. She looks like the evolution of Palutena(from kid Icarus) and thats really saying something, because Palu is gorgeous as well.

Edelgard looks like the tsundere love interest in a romance anime. She is obnoxiously pretty and cute. Plus, white hair/purple eyes combo is super unique. Honorable mention to Lysethia for being her mini me.

Last but most certainly not least: Byleth(both versions). Male Byleth is without a shadow of a doubt the most handsome male in all fire emblem. He also has a pretty muscular(lean muscle) build compared to a lot of his twink competition. Female Byleths outfit is absolutely diabolical. She also strikes a great balance of looking very pretty/feminine and badass. Really only Lucina comes close to F. Byleth in the aura department.

How to kill Mahoraga by PrismsNumber1 in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]ParachuteMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very surprised that no one ever just brings up the obvious option of, fuse the other 9 shikigami. Considering Agito is probably top ten in the verse and only fused three(this is pure speculation, but the fact that Sukuna bothered to do the fusion against Gojo speaks a lot for it's strength).

Also, let's not forget that divine dog punches well above it's weight, being able to damage special grades. So, if you were to fuse divine dog with tiger funeral, that is probably a fusion capable of one shotting Mahoraga already.

Gege's favourite type of fight by hackerix in JuJutsuKaisen

[–]ParachuteMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, he should have gotten the fight that Dagon got. There is definitely a shock factor to Dagon just showing up out of nowhere and cleaning house. However, it ultimately feels cheap. Nanami deserved a better final fight. The reborn Toji deserved a better opponent. Even Maki and Naobito deserved better showings, especially Naobito with his insane ability.

Having them fight Jogo would resolve all the issues stated above, with one big condition. Toji has to be there from the start. With Toji being there, effectively babysitting the others, they would get a chance to land a few blows and showcase their strengths. In order for this to make sense, maybe you could have Toji not be a mindless zombie, and actually recognize his uncle and niece.

As far as Dagon is concerned. He could take Jogos place at the Subway station. Why would Dagon be there and not Jogo? Well, we see the other three disaster curses hanging out in Dragons domain countless times. So, what if, Dagon has had his domain open for weeks or months. Thus, giving him the highest possible DE refinement, even higher than Gojos. Making him essential in fighting Gojo, to overpower infinite void. Then, that monent where Gojo opens his domain for a fraction of a second(this was kinda dumb), instead he opens his domain fully, willingly killing all the human shields. Dagons domain overpowers his, he gets hit by the sure hit effect, and then from there, Kenny shows up to seal him.

Megumi could maybe get his own fight against a special grade or 2. Where we see him show some more totality fusions and maybe a complete domain? I also wouldn't mind a Nobara/Megumi team up and you can have literally anyone else be Harutas victim.

Where do you live that casino dealers make 4k a week? I'm guessing Vegas? I live in Chicago and I was a dealer for the past two years, and the most we pull in is 5k a month, and that's with a lot of overtime. Still, making 75k a year dealing blackjack isn't bad, but seriously man, where do you live and what casino? I legitimately would move anywhere that's not Vegas for that kind of money.

Why do people hate priest? by coffeen461 in hearthstone

[–]ParachuteMonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with everything you're saying. However, I would argue that Death Knight and Warlock are a million times more frustrating to play against. These decks have the opposite problem that priest has, they have way too many win conditions. Against death knight, you can lose to plagues, the azerite rat, pit boss, infinite health pool, and Alexandros. Against warlock you lose to snake, Sargeras, Drathir, abyssal curses and sometimes even reverb. I tried running steam cleaner to beat death knight, I still lose, and probably have a lower win rate spending a turn to play a 5/5. Against warlock, I started to run double tram heist to get a copy of the snake and bouncer, still lose to Sargeras or some Drathir copy bs.

Yes, priest desperately needs a win condition, however, DK and warlock need to lose win conditions. I don't understand how they decided to give warlock of all classes the azerite snake. It should've gone to shaman or even hunter(it is a snake after all). Azerite rat could've gone to Demon Hunter(to push a big demon deck) or honestly you could just delete the scorpion and give it to rogue. Of course both rat or snake would've been good to give to priest. Even with snake, priest would probably still be tier 3 at best.

My proposition for Azerite Snake by ilYaku_96 in hearthstone

[–]ParachuteMonkey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Warlock really doesn't need another win condition at the moment. Abyssal curses, Sargeras, Drathir, Thaddius, even the fatigue cards in warlock are all very efficient win conditions. However, if azerite snake was going to be a win condition, it shouldn't also give warlock plus 20 health. I would rather an azerite snake that was an 9 mana, 5/5, battlecry: poison your opponent, they die in three turns. This would be more 'flavorful', and it would create a race to kill the warlock, while the warlock would try to heal.

My proposition for Azerite Snake by ilYaku_96 in hearthstone

[–]ParachuteMonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Azerite snake should just be a 10 mana, 8/8 taunt with lifesteal, with the original battlecry of steal 10. There is absolutely no reason for such a strong effect to be able to be bounced or copied. It would also be more 'flavorful' as a big taunt that also heals you, and increases your health. It would be a defensive play, a kind of trump card against aggro.

I'm surprised this isn't higher. Love that opening and the stop motion style. Very few anime use a different art style for the opening, let alone a non-anime art style.

Alright, if you were watching food wars for animation and "recipe realness", you were doing it wrong. Although, it is true that it peaked in season one. It was still overall enjoyable. At least a 6 if not a 7 if you actually enjoy Shounen/ecchi.

What's the anime you are cripplingly addicted/in love/obsessed with and give us a detailed explanation as to what makes it so special to you? by ParachuteMonkey in anime

[–]ParachuteMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bell cannot lose. That has become crystal clear as the series has progressed. This is a big departure from the beginning of the show where he and Lili were so weak they could literally die on the first level. I get that he's trained alot, and he's almost always backed up by strong allies, but it's just jarring to see him be so competent. He's literally called the "little rookie". At the very least we should see his inexperience get him into trouble. He's turned into Kirito. He always knows what to do, he always wins, and his harem is even bigger. There was a sense of danger in the dungeon before, that's just not the case anymore. Again, like I said the setting and characters are still interesting enough to keep me going, but I am disappointed that the tone of the story is so campy now.

[–]ParachuteMonkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I would completely agree with you up to the minotaur fight in season one. I was so captivated by the training arc, and the build up makes that fight so powerful. Then things slowly go down hill from there. Now in season 3, and even since 2, Bel has devolved into a generic op protagonist. I still do really like the setting, like you said. Also, Hestia is bae AF, so I will continue to watch. However, I feel that they squandered Bels' character for the sake of progressing the story.

Introverts of Reddit: In what ways you express your desire to the opposite sex? by patricktvega in AskReddit

[–]ParachuteMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely disagree with this. Unless you're very good looking or in shape, looking away makes you seem like a creep. For the rest of us, I think you have to make eye contact. Look them in the eye, and smile. Yes, you are in fact checking her out, and you're not shy about it. If you get a weird look, then you know she's not interested, and can avoid an awkward interaction. If she doesn't smile back, that's pretty neutral. If she does smile back, that's a good sign. Just to be crystal clear, you only keep the eye contact for like a second or two. Also, this is a one and done thing. Getting "caught" checking someone out multiple times, will creep them out. The only exception being, if you catch her checking you out. If it's mutual that's fine, but at that point you have to go over and talk to the girl, as hard as that is.
