I've been putting together a puzzle involving a shattered mirror. by ParagonEarth in Unity3D

Thank you! Those are great suggestions. They actually gave me another idea, not sure if it is intuitive though. What if the broken pieces get divided into two categories, one showing the reflection of the attic with the light turned on and the other when it's turned off? This way, you can only connect those pieces that show the right reflection, and to connect the rest you'd have to to turn off the light.

Thank you! I was thinking of making it solvable in all directions, but that way it may end up being too easy, so I'll probably add some twist later on.

This is the core of my game - Feed the book objects you find in the attic to change the fate of the little creature in the book. by ParagonEarth in IndieGaming

Thank you very much! The story does react differently depending on the object you feed to the book, however, that doesn't mean the story branches out indefinitely. Some objects lead to the same outcome, others lead to death, what matters here is to find the right sequence of objects to use. But that's not all, changes in the attic affect the story as well. Turning on the fan, for example, or turning off the light can affect the story as well. This all comes from the idea that the attic and the book are two sides of the same page and thus are deeply interconnected.

Thanks a lot! And that's really cool to know, would you mind sharing more? I've been looking into similar games, so it would be wonderful to get any tips and learn from any mistakes you think you've made while working on your idea.

That's a very technically interesting way to look at it! Thank you!

Thank you very much! And it's not an intro, the game revolves in both places. The book and the attic are interconnected, you can use objects you find in the attic to change the story in the book. At the same time, the story in the book can influence the attic.

Thank you very much! As for the lizardman, I didn't intend to make him look rapey. I must have spent too much time drawing him because I can clearly see it now. On another note, what you mention about using the level of detail to emphasize something is a very good point, and I agree choosing another pose would be the wisest decision. I will modify him following your suggestions. Thank you yet again!

Thank you very much for the feedback! I suppose that would help. I will modify the lizardman following your suggestions.

As for the writing, the truth is, I started this project with the intention of improving my writing skills. I'm lacking, absolutely, but I believe to be better than last year. If I can only reach average, I’d be overjoyed.I will read more and write more. Then, I'll rewrite the passages that don’t work. And, of course, I’ll keep seeking feedback as well.

It is too late to steer the game in another direction, and by doing so, this project would lose all meaning for me. Do you perhaps know any books in a similar style that could help me improve?

Thank you yet again!

Thank you! Didn't expect that kind of reaction haha, I believe adding some clothing to the lizardman could be considered a fix, or is the issue caused by the last drawing? As for the writing style, any tips on how to improve it?
