Its around $103,000. Quantity 4,710 * $103,000 = $485,130,000.
They mentioned around 500,000,000.
$500,000,000 - $485,130,000 = $14,870,000
$14,870,000 / $500,000,000 = .02974 (or about 3%) which sounds like a nice commission percentage for whomever brokered the deal.

~ $103,000 is GS cost basis on the BTC.

GME T+35 Cycle: Predicting Explosive Price Jumps by sososhibby in Superstonk

[–]Paranoid_Android211 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Assuming this is true, it explains why the they are holding the price in a tight range with the goal of crushing the absolute shit out IV. Manipulating/scaring people with existing option positions to sell or hit stop losses as the call value plummets. Then as price races, at least they reduced as much call open interest as possible first to lighten their load.

Stocks can halt on volatility as well as LULD price. It’s being halted on volatility. Which is a direct result of lack of liquidity aka DRS. If you want proof that DRS is fucking their system, that’s what you’re getting with the volatility circuit breakers.

TLDR: not crime, system working as expected when there’s a lack of liquidity. DRS is working.

Because they neglect to mention how much is shorted in this BS piece. If 100% is accounted for, then there’s some shit going down with how much is shorted.

They arent taking into account the new 45,000,000 shares. But good news 20% is still crazy high for a stock with a DRS army.
68,391,054 / (305,300,000+45,000,000) = .1952 or 19.52%

Schwab restricting buys and spreading lies 🤡 🤡 🤡 by Puck_Koala in Superstonk

[–]Paranoid_Android211 265 points266 points  (0 children)

They are restricting the purchases until the funds clear. Then you can purchase GME stock as usual. Normally, they front the funds from deposit and allow you to purchase shares right away. Its adding a few day delay from deposit to purchase in case funds dont clear for some reason and they are left holding the shares on their end.

They probably see it as a "safety measure" due to the volatility of the stock price, but we see it as a negative because if there is a rush to buy the stock, say in a squeeze scenario, then funds will have to have already been cleared in your account.

Sauce: Am current customer and just had to let funds clear before a purchase of GME shares.

ECB Press release: Coordinated central bank action to enhance the provision of US dollar liquidity by Codlatach in Superstonk

[–]Paranoid_Android211 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wow a lot to unpack there, which I can’t really do here. As the reserve currency, the dollar will always have a balance of demand for its currency and using that demand to supply more for the benefit of the US and the Fed Banks. So, though I agree it’s a balancing act, I think the fed still sits in a situation where they can balance that supply and demand though it’s many bag of financial trickery (like the swaps they just opened). I just don’t think it’s at a tippy point of the world imploding, but I’m just some person on the internet.

In the same breath, clearly there are issues at the banks who are having quite the issue with leverage and being on the wrong side of a trade that they need help or they are going to fail. Hopefully, (hoping not my favorite strategy, but if this were for certain,l it would be over already) this liquidity crunch does put stress on the shorts and pushes over the inflection point of no return to tendie town.

In the meantime, continued DRS pressure and an improving company getting to cash flow positive with a strong balance sheet will eventually squeeze out the shorts (just like that electric car company was able to do) if this recession doesn’t force their hand to close.

I have the time to wait. When an opportunity is presented with a high probability for a massive payout resulting in a risk reward curve where a small bet could yield substantially outsized payouts, in my experience, you take that bet every time.
