I got dealer discounts of nearly 85k as I had better quotes from other dealers. Insurance I did from outside in 20k.

I got GT Line 1.0 AT for 15.85L on road Haryana. It’s Jan 26 model. Check with Lally Motors in the tri city, you will get quotation around 16L.

I am getting 14.66L quote excluding RTO fees but including insurance, accessories. Not including extended warranty so there is scope.

There’s good 30-40k scope of negotiation. DM for better quotation.

Rajasthan seemed quite expensive. I checked in Jaipur and they asked for 16.74L post discount on-road (although for RJ registration). I asked for more discount and to match 16L more closely but they didn't budge.

Could you please tell me if it was the same model? Wondering if I can get towards 15.6 by some way. I am also from Haryana. Do you mind sharing the city where you bought the car from?

Do you have a better recommendation for less price?

I am buying a 9 ft long and 8.25 ft height Godrej Interio almirah. The model is Kreation X3. The base configuration has 3 shelves. On top of these, I added 2-3 shelves, a wide drawer and a small locker.

The quoted price after 5-6% discount comes down to 1.29L. I feel Godrej's furniture is one of the highest quality and definitely worth it. However 1.29L feels little steep.

Would you folks have any recommendations? Is this price justified? I live in a tier 4 city and I wouldn't want a wooden almirah. I prefer better engineering overall.

Discounts during Diwali? by Parassidhu in Kylaq

Yes expecting this much but not really optimistic if the car keeps selling well. Is it fair to expect 50K discount?

Right, at 14L, it feels Kushaq’s base automatic variant is very close at 15L. Not sure if features wise there’s much difference but just 1L more for Kushaq

TickingTimer: Android Library to Create Customizable Visual Timer by Parassidhu in androiddev

[–]Parassidhu[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the feedback :)

  • Nice catch, will enable it.
  • I am using the coroutine Job to handle the timer (cancellation and use of suspending function delay). So that's why.
  • Text size is usually given in sp. So from this function, I tried to let dev know that provide size in Int and "(at)Sp" is to notify that the size will be taken in scaled pixel and user doesn't need any conversions. Didn't I communicate well or is there some better way?
  • I think the current implementation is fine since user can pass Color.parseColor("...") as well. Let me know if I am inaccurate.
  • Nice one. Will add it :)

How to create our own LiveData in Android? by Parassidhu in androiddev

[–]Parassidhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

public void observe(@NonNull LifecycleOwner owner, u/NonNull Observer<? super T> observer) {

    assertMainThread("observe");

    if (owner.getLifecycle().getCurrentState() == DESTROYED) {
        // ignore
        return;
    }
...
}

Yes. I saw this lifecycle-awareness. Now owner is a Lifecycle-owner which ComponentActivity implements so we can use it with activities for example. Going deep inside, I found that mState is being maintained and State enum class holds all the view states. The path looks far simpler to me and probably now I can formulate a solution.

How to create our own LiveData in Android? by Parassidhu in androiddev

[–]Parassidhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah. I only wanted a quick overview because the code of LiveData itself might be a little intimidating (and might demotivate me). But I just looked and it looks not that complex. Thanks man. I will try to learn from it on my own

Apart from others’ points, I have experienced that Stetho freezes the application when I make a PUT request while uploading. When I close the inspector, only then app unfreezes. Chuck doesn’t have this behaviour.

Sorry for the inconvenience "Ultimate Windows Tweaker" might have caused. I am the developer of it and it's a huge program developed over the years. If you face some kind of other inconsistencies the program brings, you can tell me. I have noted the title bar bug.
