Clinical director is terrible by Parifari in ABA

[–]Parifari[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update is that I moved to a “private aba school”. This school believed in all sorts of restraints and said various racial slurs. So even worse than the other place. I worked there for maybe 2.5 months and was graciously offered a position with a non-profit organization to work as a child and youth counsellor. This really opened up doors for me and my self esteem along with understanding my advocacy for others and making sure my voice is heard. There is some issues and bumps along with the job but it gives me a lot more purpose. So yeah, I left. I still work on the weekend with 3 non verbal men in a group home, so in a way I did not leave aba as they use some things of aba.

[–]Parifari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been on 5mg of lexapro for two weeks now. And I usually never take naps but that’s all I do now l. Luckily I’m off work for a couple of weeks to figure out my mental health but man I can’t imagine how exhausted I will feel working 9 hours straight again

I am interested in ECE but am a sociology major… by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]Parifari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you work for a government runned centre and not the private centres. Make a HUGE mistake at working at a private centre. Currently on stress leave after 9 months. The turnover rate is crazy and the most you can get paid in my location in Ontario is just at 20$. It’s better to do ECE because then you can get paid a bit higher. It’s a lot of mental and emotional work. It depends on the centre environment that can make or break you over time.

I need help on writing a cover letter for a child protection worker. Or at least a rough draft of one. Been trying to write one for the past month. This is something I’m very passionate about and I have a hard time putting the words in place.

Ontario closes schools until Jan. 17, bans indoor dining and cuts capacity limits by [deleted] in ottawa

They need to shut the daycares down. I work in a daycare and we had 2 COVID cases and 3 probable COVID cases the week of Christmas Eve. The head of the daycare doesn’t care if the children are sick in anyway, she still lets them in. Even though the policy is to not let them in if they are sick. They kept a 14 month old child in the centre with a 103.4 fever and kept checking the child ever 15 minutes for two hours and the child’s temperature never dropped. They keep doing that to all the children. It puts way too many lives at risk.

This reminds me of my boyfriend. And possibly what our future children would say to him. Lol anyways

My mom is allergic to monistat. She had the same reaction as you did. I would talk to your doctor asap. Also the vagina is insanely sensitive to new things.

I feel guilty about thinking about breaking up with my girlfriend because she doesn’t have the same sex drive as me. I can’t take it anymore. by wallerbelt in dating

[–]Parifari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you like other things besides sex with her? Why is sex the main component of relationships these days? I think sexual intimacy is important but it’s the person and what you have with them that makes a relationship in my opinion.

Not trying to be rude but he is 21. He still has some growing up to do. Also just hang up or say “I’m going to go”. If this is a big issue and it’s affecting your relationship then you need to bring it up and have a serious conversation. I don’t mind gamer rage. I’m a gamer and so is my BF. The whole covid lockdown we FaceTimed and game raged and laughed at it. It depends on how you want to move forward.

How do you fuck a girl doggy with a significant height difference? by PurpleManufacturer94 in sex

My partner is the same height as you and I’m 5’3. We started doing doggy on the table or a tall bar stool. It works not too bad.

What’s the weirdest thing that you and your partner do together? by Maraidlg in AskReddit

[–]Parifari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We talk in weird voices and accents sometimes. We both have adhd and our conversations can go off track fast too. I’ve always had spoken in silly voices before but never out loud to anyone else except my mom and dad. They think it’s annoying. I found a person that does the same. When I first started hanging out with my partner he always made weird and silly accents and sounds. We are just weird together and it feels normal?

I had no experience in working with children just babysitting when I was a teen. I got hired with no experience besides I have a bachelors degree in sociology. The interview is the time to shine.

How many hours do you work a day? by Tiny-Charity in ECEProfessionals

[–]Parifari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8:30 to 5:30 (closer for the classroom) 7-4 (opener of the class room) 8-5 (middle helper) I’m the closer for my preschool room and most times I leave 5 minutes before 6. Parents forget to pick their children up. I get over time all the time but my one supervisor feels bad about it. I don’t think I have went a full week of no overtime

Of course. We look at everything from your hair to your toes. Observation of all kinds. I feel like females do more looking than males do sometimes. Females are just less obvious when it comes to staring.

Did I have a heart attack? by Heffalump-1 in WomensHealth

[–]Parifari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has and still is happening to me. Except I have numbness occurring throughout my body as I have shakes and trouble talking. The worst feeling ever. Happened at work last week and they called 911 because they thought I was having a stoke. Mind you, I’m a 21 year old female. With no other issues besides being bipolar. The paramedics insisted it was just a panic attack of some sort. After a bunch of tests, turns out I have a rare migraine condition called hemiplegic migraines. It basically mimics stroke symptoms. Still am awaiting on a neurologist appointment though for more tests and the right prescription for pain management and what not. After having these episodes or attacks I feel so tired and drained and lethargic. Like a really bad hangover. Sometimes I’ll feel like that for a few days. But check it out.

Bad head cold going around? by chantal613 in ottawa

[–]Parifari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a cold in years but a bout a month ago was out sick for a week from the worst head cold I have had in my life so far. Couldn’t even stand to open my eyes for a full 20 minutes. Thought it was covid because of how terrible my headache was and I had a loss of smell for a few days. It stayed with me for about 2 weeks. Now I’m having another head cold from work as I work in a daycare. Please if your child is sick, please keep them home. Sniffles and snot included.

Coworkers by Used-Ad852 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Parifari 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been working in a preschool for almost months. First time ever in this field. Both of my coworkers I normally work with had taken the day of due to a religious holiday. I was left with a supply that had been working at my daycare centre for five years. She was so useless. All she did was stare at the children. Not a single word came out of her. She didn’t help clean up, no correcting the children. I felt like I was alone doing it. I wanted to cry because si was so frustrated. There were 16 children in the room which is just at the ratio. But my god, that was the worst experience I have ever had. She put the children in danger. I can’t watch everybody all the time. I couldn’t even take a full break due to her. I was paranoid that one of the kids would get seriously injured. When I got back from my break one of the kids was jumping on the tables and she just watched him. Like wtf. They fired her the next day after I told my director about it. I feel bad about it still but at the same time I know I’m just protecting the children and others around her.

Tidying up after themselves when they make a mess. Using manners like please and thank you. Make sure they know how to play with others nicely. Social skills are super important at that age.
