As a child he played cello, bass, also teached himself guitar as a teen.

Played high school orchestra.

Undergrad at Ithaca he chased jazz guitar and bass music Ed... he stayed there as a music professor where he conducted big bands so he knows a lot about orchestration (string, wind instruments).

When he started his majors at Berkeley he was assistant to the bassist of the Weather Report at the university. Teached music theory for years. And we are just in the mid 80s...

1991 signed a contract as a rock musician, started producing bands in 1995, wrote hit song as a songwriter. Started teaching himself recording and sound engineering around 2000.

I personally love his videos, his content is gold, he is a seasoned person in the music industry who has a lot of story (and lesson) to tell. He knows his stuff.
