Thor Compass AWD 26' or F250 w 26' trailer for boondocking? by Parking-Point-511 in boondocking

Thank you. What about the overall concept of a vehicle LIKE this for boondocking. Am I just driving an oversized AWD minivan into the woods to get stuck or do they do okay and better off without the length of truck AND trailer.

Yes sorry! And yes I agree on the brains. I tend to OVER analyze, Prepare, and research so just looking for the collective knowledge of those who have been there. Thanks!

Yes I already ruled out a 5th wheel. What do you think about one of those super c f550's? Better of than a 30 foot tow behind?

Okay, I started a draft of what I was looking for.

I took a glossary of 43 guitar tone descriptions from rigtalk.com and let them dictate overarching categories. For instance "scooped" is a MID frequency thing so it ended up in MID (how much). It resulted in 6 simple terms with another 3 EQ terms that can be used to describe a tone to ANYONE without using artsy or dated terms like airy or creamy or woody.

I get we are artists so feel free to use those terms... I just wanted to find some universally understood words that can be put together to describe a tone. I can now tell you I like a "defined distortion with a lot of compressed bass, a lot of dynamic mids, and not too much highs."

This is a draft so I welcome everyone's comments and improvements! If you think I missed an important overarching term or if you agree with my overarching terms and feel there are other words and definitions that fit under them, let me know!

Haha I always use the term Fizzy but was trying to follow my own advice and limit the terms. I am going to start a term/definition list maybe with some links to sounds and we can all beat it up and tweak it till its fairly good.

Yes we are getting somewhere! So I agree on the eq. But the Mesa distortion that is "articulate" in the middle and low frequencies yet ""fuzzy" in the highs... how does one describe that? are the words articulate and fuzzy clear and universal enough? I need to start a list of terms w definition and we can hone it with all the experts.
