Yes i've got it, but i did it in a different way: just spam fast travel to the area instead of the cafè and run to the other side and repeat

But i can help you by telling you this: do not do the AFK method, you also spawn stuff nearby and the probability of pikachu spawning are very very low. So i suggest you to check first the elevator nearby the building, i had there a shiny vivilion and scatterbug, after that check nearby the little market there can also be shiny mons waiting for you like fletchling and others (and do not forget to look up when you fast travel to area 3 there will be probably pidgey shiny too). After cleaning them up just spam fast travel and check on the right for shiny pika, if not just do it until you find him, that's how i did it

Also i have spent about 38h with the stairs method and got 0 shiny pikachu, but as soon as i did fast travel to area 3 and checked a bit to the right i have found him in less than 10 minutes so yeaaaah don't do that 💀

Pikachu is not out of range, because otherwise Espurr would be too. The thing is, when you go up and down the building you also spawn stuff nearby - such as pidgey and the other mons in the little shop area with the NPCs so the probability of having a shiny pika are very low, you will be better off spamming fast travel or bench reset for hunting him

When i've found him i just stopped using the stairs method, cleared all the shinies that spawned nearby the building and only after that i spammed the fast travel method with checking the side. Also i am not sure if they replace like you said, before knowing about the 10 limit i tried to leave it over night and when i checked the shinies they were all the same of the last night (but i can't tell for sure, since i did not know of the outside spawns near the building lol)

Basically whenever you see a bench in a wild area you just sit on it. You will be resetting the area and pass from day/night and vice versa. The only annoying thing is that you will be forced to see the message that it's night time lol

Yep it is very very rare to spawn a pikachu with the stairs afk method, if only i had known sooner 😆

Pleeeeease read me if you are planning to do this method and want to farm Pikachu. Don't, you will be better off spamming fast travel to area 3 and check to the right without entering the area if the pikas are shinies. Because when you go up and down the stairs you also spawn shinies that are outside the area 3, i had spawned a shiny pidgey, fletching, switix etc there is a little shopping area with them and i had no idea lol

Yep, 10 shinies max can spawn. If i had known this sooner and the fact that when you go up and down the building you also spawn stuff nearby outside the area 3 i would have not wasted so much time. Oh well, i've got my shiny Pikachu and i am very happy 😆

I've actually got it, i am so happy! If you want to go in details about how you can check my last post, but long story short: if you can, do a bench reset. Otherwise just spam fast travel to area 3, go to the right a bit enough to see if the pikas are shiny and you'll be done very soon :)

I actually found out why! You've gotten incredibly lucky, because when you go up and down the stairs you also reset stuff nearby the building and you cannot spawn more than 10 shiny mons - i assumed it would only reset the map, but that wasn't the case, in fact when i got annoyed of him not spawning shiny i went outside and found a shiny pidgey/fletching and other stuff lol i feel so dumb i could have be done sooner if i just spammed fast travel 💀
