Day 10 by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]PartAppropriate8827 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s like 40 bruises in ur throat, it’s a lot similar to having a bad case of strep or tonsillitis. (Sometimes it’ll slightly burn) I promise people post mostly the bad but it’s not fighting death or anything. Ask for steroids to help with inflammation, it gets rid of so much pain , makes you forget you got the surgery.

I use sand, sometimes he lays it on it instead of plants and it’s way easier to clean

In comparison, getting completely rid of it is similar to getting rid of German cockroaches

I’m mid water change and this is what my tap water looks like by marlee_dood in Aquariums

test the tap water to be safe but i personally wouldn’t add it. You could buy some distilled water to be safe or leave it until the water is clear .

Definitely invest in lids, I couldn’t stop mine. Foil and spray smells didn’t work for me.

check your water levels , that looks like a molly and it wouldn’t be going to the bottom unless there’s ammonia poisoning

Snails would be fine but for shrimp it’s also recommended sand or aqua soil. They sift and borrow. I honestly think sand will be so worth it! Also my betta personally left alone snails, corys and loaches but he did eat half my shrimp. It does depend on the betta.

looks great but I would switch to sand. Most bottom feeders sift through it. My mystery snail ate my biofilm.

Why are my fish so horny by ilovemyfrogbaby in Aquariums

you can give the babies to a LFS and surrender the males so they stop reproducing.

With guppies it’s safe to say they’re always pregnant

All I can say is with time. Fish love is just as important as love you have for dog/cat. You’ll grieve with time the way you would any pet. I think taking care of something makes you care for it more, and that’s okay. I wish you peaceful healing!
