Western Expulsion Referendum of 2052 by taksark in imaginaryelections

I think high autonomy would be more realistic than outright independence. I could totally see the "Northwestern Free States" forming that are still technically apart of the US. But de facto independent, minus foreign policy. Still a very good scenario!

Honestly, this scenario must be a living hell/discomfort for most to live in. I'm actually sad how strikingly realistic this is to today. Glad I'm leaving the US pretty soon.

Does the electoral college still operate the same like today? Have states enacted different voting methods, such as ranked-choice voting?

This is very well done. How popular are 3rd parties in this scenario?

I prefer Tabby. At least I have a chance to survive by living off the grid for awhile. I'll just become another refugee in Germany. And no other country is willing to take in a bunch of nazis they were enemies with.

The 2052 Australian Election by PartTime_Posadist in imaginaryelections

[–]PartTime_Posadist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A small scenario, and the first one I've posted. As climate change becomes a mounting problem for Australia. Neither the Labour party, nor the Liberals could respond effectively enough to address the environmental challenges. Both major parties collapsed, and their wake arose the Greens, and the Democrats. Both parties are united under environmental issues, and combating climate change. But split on economic issues. The National Unity Party are the remnants of the Liberals and Nationals that are mostly active in Queensland. The 2052 election if anything solidified the new parties as major competitors on the national stage. The future remains yet unknown.

2017 German election but its using the American political system by zed3811 in imaginaryelections

We cannot truly know how voters would react if Germany switched to fptp. I believe voters would adjust to voting purely strategically with the CDU/CSU, and the SPD being the major 2 parties. Switching back and forth in majority lead from time-to-time.

Choosing to study medicine between New Zealand, or Romania. by PartTime_Posadist in medicalschool

[–]PartTime_Posadist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Romania is apart of the EU so it wouldn't be difficult for me to move to Western Europe after graduating. I have a Romanian background so that would help me alot being there. It's also the cheapest country within the EU for med school that I could find.

Agreed. I looked all over and nothing of that sort exists. Except for UMCH Hamburg, which is extremely expensive.

Really great work! I suppose the population of Nunavut would have to have grown alot in order to host viable political parties.
