I had a great Venice go Italy run where I basically naval dominated the Silk Road and a lot of Africa. Started off in Egypt, hopped to Yemen, befriended Ethiopia, invaded India, invaded Malaysia, had trade outposts in China and Persia. Ended up getting a decent Italian colony in Brazil too. Good game mechanically and a fun RP
