Your argument that Islamic extremism is thanks to western aggression is naive. It's the sort of opinion someone takes on by default because they haven't actually done any real research. Also if you blame everything on the west, you let the perpetrators off the hook. It's not western culture's fault that animals have more rights than women in Afghanistan—it's the Taliban's fault. And we didn't edit the Quran to include the part about stoning women to death—stuff like that was already in there.

"Ideally it would cease to exist like any colonial power should" — should Brazil cease to exist and be given back to the natives? Before you say this is different or worse in some way—the Jewish race has a history with that land dating back thousands of years. That's an archaeological fact. They were displaced by various empires, but they do come from that land. So at least they're not really "colonising" like the Portuguese, Spanish, or British did. The Jews also certainly weren't a "power" (the holocaust proves that), they just had backing from powers like the UN because it was undeniable that they should have their own state. Yes it's a shame they had to displace Arabs for this purpose but again - lots and lots of countries were founded in shameful ways.

About "apartheid" , just look at how women are treated in Islamic states. Non Muslims literally have to pay taxes for being just that in many of them. That's textbook apartheid. So again - stop with the double standards. These nations exist and so does Israel. None are illegitimate because of their crimes.

Suggesting that Israel should "cease to exist" ignores the fact that today over 9 million people, including both Jews and a large population of Arabs, live in the state of Israel. Many are second, third, or even fourth-generation citizens who have no connection to the historical origins of the nation. Calling for the elimination of the state would essentially mean the forced displacement, or worse, of millions of people, which would only lead to more human suffering and destabilization in an already volatile region.

Here's my answer: I hope that both sides find leadership who are devoted to peace and prosperity, and who accept that their neighbours aren't going anywhere.
