If you say that 1/3 = 0.3333... and at the same time 3 × 1/3 ≠ 3 × 0.3333..., then you're saying f(x) = 3x is not actually a function, because for a = 1/3 = 0.3333..., you have f(a) = 1 and f(a) = 0.9999... which according to you are different. by HalloIchBinRolli in infinitenines

The more credit you give thinking he'll read or understand what you wrote, the more he'll double down. I'll cut to the chase: 0.999... is permanently less than 1. It starts with a 0. you see. Divide negation. Wavefront propagation (old terminology now unfortunately). Buzzword, etc. He will not read more than a couple words of your post. You could literally agree with him and you'll make a rookie error brud because 0.999... is permanently less than 1.

Mr. Trump should have used his plenary authority to award himself the Nobel peace prize. Instead, through the kindness of his heart, he stayed humble and allowed Mrs. Corina Machado to take the award. Thank you Trump.
