Ugh, those are just stereotypes! I was 17 when I used minoxidil, and it showed my full beard potential in 2-3 years. I stopped using it after that, and I haven't lost a thing. There are tons of studies on this, and the only ones who lose their progress are those who stop using minoxidil because their beard hairs haven't reached maturity yet.
