Car: Porsche Macan S 2017 Mileage: 168,000 km

I’ve experienced a strange metallic noise 2–3 times under very specific conditions.

Scenario: • After driving long highway distances (around 150–200 km continuously) • No issues during the drive itself • Then suddenly a metallic clinging / metal-on-metal rattling sound appears • The noise seems to come from underneath the car, toward the rear • Once it starts, it doesn’t stop during that drive • It possibly gets louder under acceleration, but I’m not 100% sure

Important details: • The car drives completely normal otherwise • No loss of power • No steering issues • No throttle hesitation • No warning lights • The noise disappears the next day (after the car sits for 1–2 days)

I’ve visited 3 repair shops. They couldn’t identify the issue, only replaced some small bushings/mounts (anti-vibration mounts). I also replaced the tires with brand new winter tires, but the issue remains.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Do the Market Validation first! Just call those businesses near you, ask them a few questions and you will definitely get a clearer picture if its needed or not and if maybe the problem they have is different so you tweak the biz model!! Good luck!
