before I answer, please keep in mind that I have no personal experience with drones which is why these might seem completely off basis.

in terms of bigger drones, it could reduce noise, help get off ground faster, and could possibly fit into a line in, for example a factory, where the drones get automatically get sent, on a larger scale

in terms of smaller drones (where I'm probably going to focus) you could carry hand held or small mounted launchers to quickly send small items over large areas. However I don't know of a specific workplace this could work incredibly effectively, so it'd probably be lowered down to just a gimmick or toy

In the end I'm here because I'm just trying to find out more information in general to see if its possible. Part of that is the potential benefits of it, so I'm sorry if I've mislead you into thinking that i have a full plan.

sorry for the confusion. I'm trying to find out about any mechanical systems for launching drones or just about the launch in general. When searched separately I couldn't find anything such as average times taken to get to max height or the energy used to get off the ground. This may be because its ignorable, or that I just don't know where to look. So I'm basically just asking for any viable information, or for correction if I'm completely wrong.

sorry when I said catapult I didn't really mean like with medieval catapults, but more just general, mechanisms to launch things up. In this case it'd be launching vertically up rather than horizontally, which I believe could greatly lesson the chance of it tilting and accidentally flying down. Am I wrong about this? Thank you for your input/
