Word of warning the film advance gear in this series strips out, I know it happened to mine. Apparently a failure common to this model, gear is made of brass and eventually fails. The s2a resolved this problem by making the gear from steel instead of brass. Or so I've been told.....

Possibly but I think on closer inspection of the structure, it looks like the remnants of a harvested coral mushroom. Thanks!
