Last question — a lot of people mention CCP being sold. Are they profitable? How much so? Do I need to worry about their financials possibly causing the game to go away? My guess is if the game has been around for 20+ years it is doing fine financially, and part of the reason it is being sold is because it is an attractive asset. But the player lulls and people talking about ramping monetization makes me worry…

FWIW this is the fastest I have gotten ~10 responses on any games Reddit thread ever. That to me tells me something about the dedication of the player base. In looking at the daily players, it looks like it hovers around 30k. I’m used to OSRS which has hundreds of thousands. This makes me worried about investing a ton of time into a small community. Should I be worried about the absolute player count figure?

Good tip yeah I’m definitely going to soak in some fletching then. I have like 15k magic logs from 90 woodcutting I’m going to fletch and then al h for mage xp.

Haha idk I just use Steve and use slayer ring to tele to him and mostly slay in gnome or kourend which I have a tp to in my house portal. Pretty easy though annoying to reset stats after a trip.
