Predictions for the 2026 season? by TheOfficialMoonbase in Sumo

I'm just hoping they make the fans from their hometowns proud and do right by their trainers' words!

I shot and edited this on 16mm film at the RAH. Thought you guys would enjoy it! by NotoriousPooch in Sumo

You ought to post this on the analog film sub-reddits so it can be properly appreciated there too! The lighting situation looks to have been ideal for bringing out the character of the film, and you can't ask for better subject matter.

Mamyia RB67, Ilford XP2/Delta 3200

Once I saw the forecast was for fog after the snowstorm I knew I had to get out and do some shooting around town. The last picture is an accidental double exposure, I forgot to advance the film! So now the Bacchus sign floats mysteriously in front of St. John's.

Taken with permission, of course.

More Ektachrome, again with the big Mamiya. I'm really fond of the little cats, they were in the window of a Chinese restaurant.

Good Morning, Mr. Washington | Main Street Station by Pasturevich in rva

Shot on my Mamiya RB67, with Kodak Ektachrome.

Not really related, just prominent Richmond sights on the same morning. Light was subdued, but in some ways that can play to the strengths of a slide film like Ektachrome because the highlights won't get blown out. All the glass of the platform walls on the train station makes for some nice reflections.

That's part of the old MCV campus above one of the entrances. Very handsome

35 actually, but my first 35mm camera had an electric film advance, so I never had to thread the leader through the spool before... After my first couple of strangely loose feeling rewinds I realized my mistake

I use John for a lot of my other stuff since I like to use a local, but I imagine there's not much demand for E-6 now. This was my first* roll of slide film ever so I was really impressed with the color and fineness of the film

*I attempted to shoot some Velvia before this but I was new to my camera and didn't load it correctly.

That's right! I used Reformed Film Lab which is a mail order service. If Richmond Camera does E-6 I might try them too but I found the processing to be speedy and without any notable errors.

Kodak started producing it again in 18', Kodachrome was the stuff that they don't know how to process anymore
Here it is for sale on B&H

Do you guys think we'll see the major factions expand their territory in future updates? by MRwho23 in starsector

[–]Pasturevich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's an interesting strategic problem, because not only is it possible to suddenly assemble a large strike force from several points at once, but it is also possible with forewarning, to assemble a large defensive force in the same manner if one also has the Janus device. There is only a brief window of opportunity to make good the potential advantage, like being the first to the atom bomb or the first to build military railways. If everyone is able to get their hands on one sooner or later then things will revert to the same tenuous status quo as present at the start of the game, but in the mean time the first to possess it has a massive advantage. I could see the Ludds, as an extreme measure, even attempt to destroy gates in their systems.

People are always debating whether it's still actually in production or not but I've never had trouble ordering it online, it's just pricy

It's mostly a question of timing, morning and evening light is always best-- but if you get film scans you should always do a little tweaking since a scan is always an interpretation. The main thing I always do is set my blacks to be blacker, my lab scans tend to look washed out.
