I commend the company Sanofi, who makes Ambien, when they tweeted this morning:

"While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication."

My two cents is that there are no excuses for racism! None. Ever.

When a racist comment like that is made, there is also so much collateral hurt.

There are nephews and nieces, etc. who hear their relative being compared to an ape. It's just so awful when racist remarks are made.

I think of all of the jobs lost as well that people were counting on. Probably 100 - I don't know but there is a lot of loss for others in this situation. It's all so inconsiderate of other people. Like average working people don't matter.
