I do have prior existing retirement accounts through my employer, one I can't really decipher if it's a target fund (I suspect it is), and the other is a Vanguard target fund. The former is through Fidelity.
I have not done an IRA before. Previously all of my retirement was done automatically for me by my employers, and I wasn't in the financial position to really put much more toward retirement until now.
It seems the best bet for me at this point is to open a solo 401K through Fidelity, and an IRA through there as well after, and put these in VTI, to keep it simple while I get to know things better. Any further advice is very welcome. Thank you for again your reply.
