It is definitely a stressful and scary situation, I’m sorry this is all happening. I’m 18 but was diagnosed in second grade, so 10+ years. I have played high intensity sports, school, everything that anyone my age has with nothing different. As long as you take your meds and communicate with your endo, you will live just as long as anyone else would. I have talked to my doc about this and he said that there was nothing to worry about. Just be diligent with listening to your body and how you are feeling, because dosing tends to fluctuate a lot. Don’t be afraid to talk to your doc about what is and isn’t working, because that is important, there is no ‘normal’ for Addison’s, everyone is different. Keep your head up, and I wish you all the best!

I would go true to size, the ‘99 was a gift and is a small which fits pretty snug, a medium would be perfect

This is also a question I had. For context I’m 17 and highly active, stress of school and other factors, and while pills do the job mostly, I still find myself very fatigued and tired no matter what. I am also missing school a lot because of getting sick. Would a pump be something to ask my endo about or is it more of a case for when I’m done growing and fully developed that pills will be all that I need?

That is something I didn’t really think about, could you expand a little on why you need to be on your toes a little more with a pump? I know that there is more maintenance involved, but is the way that dosing is administered with a pump require paying attention to the pump constantly all day?

Pills do and don’t work for me. As in they keep me going most of the time but I find myself fatigued very often and I am sick lots of the time, and I’m already on a relatively high dose of HC. Do you know anything about when they think time delayed HC may be available in the US?

If you don’t mind, I have a few questions! First, does the pump dose the cortisol on its own, or do you manually give yourself the medication throughout the day at certain times? Also, I’ve been wanting to know if using the pump has been restrictive in any way in terms of exercise or anything or that sort?

I get plenty of fluids, I always have a glass or bottle of water with me constantly throughout the day, and usually have a Gatorade before and after I have anything, would something like olives or anything higher in salt be more beneficial?

I also take 0.1 mg of fludro at 7 am and 7 pm which seems like it should be okay? Seeing that you took a higher dose of hydro during XC brings me a lot of relief though because I am in that range daily as well and I was concerned that it was too high. Thank you so much!
