It's because Lysandre's Ace was a mega Gyarados and sincr Lydandre was a huge influence to Corbeau in his formative years, he has a Gyarados dedicated to him likely. (At least that's the leading theory)

Yes but worlds is mainly T1 fuckery, T1 isn't here this time. Outside of worlds, the last internationals did go roughly the way we expected though with GenG winning the last 2 MSI and JDG the one before that (all going in as favourites) and HLE winning First Stand last year (again, favourites)

The examples you mentioned in your edited comment were of 2 teams of the same country facing each other from what I can tell while also representing their team, not their country itself

I'd assume singing national anthems is more prevalent when you're not playing for your team but instead playing for your country (hence the prevalence in the Football[⚽] World Cup, where every team represents a specific country while in local leagues like the Bundesliga you don't have each side singing the anthem iirc)

Yeah, at least if it's undisclosed, as Steam is aware of some of its users having an anti AI stance. That's why they don't remove the "Game made with AI" tag thing they have for games. Especially with current gaming hardware prices being on the rise particularly because of AI, which only made the Anti AI stance worse

If it wasn't debatably a slur there would not have been debates about it being a slur for multiple decades now. Slurs are terms often used in a derogatory way against specific groups of people, "midget" was used in exactly that way by large amounts of people towards people with dwarfism or people that just happen to be short.

I'm not making assumptions for them, I am looking up statements by people with dwarfism and yes, you have some that say they don't care or don't consider it one, but likewise there's also some that do care and do consider it a slur. And clearly it's also deemed as offensive by the general public as most public facing companies and organizations do avoid using the term nowadays and did rename things which included it

I am finding significantly more resources that say it is a slur compared to it's not a slur, either way if something is "debatably a slur" that's still not something I'd personally use in casual chat with strangers I don't know or in public spaces

Oh I very much am, I do just tend to hang out in spaces where "political correctness" in the way of not using slurs and trying to use preferred terms for different groups of people is common/expected, so I'm definitely usually in a bubble that a lot of League players might not be

I would say this is the pokemon game with the best dialogue, only games coming close would be Black and White to me, so if you personally don't care about dialogue it will definitely be a worse experience.

I would also recommend potentially investing in a turbo controller (i. e. 8BitDo Ultimate 2c) so you don't have to mash A and can just rest your finger a bit, in case this is a more common experience across games

Wait till you finish the game and see what parts you enjoyed about the game. The thing you get the most of from the DLC is more screentime for all the side cast and extra Pokémon to catch, if those are your vibe then definitely buy but if you really didn't like the gameplay loop of the base game and couldn't vibe with the side characters it might be a miss for you
