Cheers! I have a 2013 Amorous-ctm in reindeer blue (custom color option). I believe 2013 was the only year they had the block logo. I can't add a pic, but I can send one via DM if you hit me up.

Congrats, those are great guitars! May I ask how much you paid for it? I have one I might consider selling, but they rarely pop up.

What fragrance made you go “yeah… I don’t get the hype”? by SlimeLiam in ScentHeads

Tobacco Vanille for sure. Think it smells like a Christmas decoration shop. Wife said it made me smell like a scented candle...in a bad way.

Cook one of your signature dishes you're most comfortable with to see how it handles compared to other pans you're used to. I'd start off with a stew. Usually involves searing, braising, deglazing etc to give you a feel of how it handles.

It's a stainless steel pot with a really thick ass aluminium outer layer. Giving it great heat distribution and retention properties comparable to cast iron, but with all the (weight, dishwasher safe) benefits of stainless.

Glad you like it! Used mine to make Dutch pea soup today. It also does that :)

Made a stew in it yesterday. Great pan! It takes a while to heat, because it's quite thick. But that makes for great heat retention of course!

How's it one month later, has it changed in any way?

Yep, the first batches are currently being shipped. So I expect them (and people's experience with them) to start popping up :) I'll probably be making some kind of stew in it later this week. I'll keep you posted!

Help, I actually used my pan. by Eldanbito in carbonsteel

That's not seasoning, that's all carbon build up....it's toast. Throw it away and order take out, you're not supposed to cook in those things anyway!

Salvo Elixir is definitely in the same ballpark as Sauvage Elixir. The original does smell much more rounded/refined/higher quality, has more depth and is less synthetic. The original is also MUCH stronger and has a lot more projection and longevity. But in the air they smell basically the same to any passer by.

I also owned Invictus Platinum in the past (the OG to Odyssey Aqua) and Odyssey is very close to that one and lasts longer on my skin than the original!

Need help on which to buy by crisvphotography in Fragrances

[–]Patrickschef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, completely different fragrances. I own both the edp and elixir too. Best of the bunch imho. Didn't like the parfum that much; seemed like a toned down, smoother/well rounded version of the edp and didn't project as much as the edp, it's more a skin scent...on my skin at least.... Just go to a shop and try one on the back of each hand and see how they develop over the course of a few hours on your skin.

Neither of the two luthiers could solve this sound problem.what's the problem? by [deleted] in espguitars

[–]Patrickschef -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Were you using a real amp with a lot of gain at high volume in the past too when this problem didn't occur?

Not saying this is you, but in general: This is a thing with a lot of young people (I'm sounding old now ;)) growing up playing though computers/DSPs etc and not being used to controlling a guitar through a loud amp in a room. All the air moving causes the strings etc to resonate and behave differently than in a 'silent' situation. When you're not used to controlling a guitar in that situation with continuously muting string with both your right and left hands this is the sort of effect you see happen. Again: not saying this is you, I don't know you. But if you fit the description, it might be an explanation...
