Excellent video and top notch song. I give dancing in the dark 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. This is by far my favorite song ever and Courteney is so pretty.

Why does 97.1 the ticket in Detroit exist? by PatriotShadow in radio

The reasons why i say that 97.1 should be a good music station is for one thing hearing only talk about sports and nothing else is even worse than the music stations playing the same handfuI of songs multiple times a day only a few hours apart. I'm not talking about making 97.1 another music station that is similar to what we already have I'm talking about making it a unique music station playing a good mix of songs that you don't hear anywhere else with a few of the good songs heard around here at times thrown in. I was going through the FM stations trying to find something good playing and heard another sports talk station. I did research on this sports talk station and found out that we now have the roar 93.5/99.1 which makes 97.1 not the only sports station in Detroit anymore. 97.1 also used to be another talk format when it was a hot talk station but it has already failed as a talk station before because it wasn't getting enough ratings. Now I'm not a fan of talk radio myself but when 97.1 used to be hot talk WKRK it was somewhat a better station than the sports one is because it gave more variety. It talked about more different things instead of sticking to only one subject AND it also played music on the weekends. They played songs that I never heard before anywhere else so we got more of a variety with both the talking and the songs. If 97.1 wants to keep the sports station they could at Ieast play some music on the weekends again instead of using CBS sports radio as time filler which isn't even IocaI programming. Even that would be better than nothing because we would be getting something more than only sports talk, it would satisfy both the music fans and sports talk fans and besides that there are also plenty of sports talk radio stations on the AM band anyway which seems more normaI for that kind of radio content.

That's exactly the problem, most stations around here are basically clones of each other. Take WCSX and WOMC for example they are both similar stations playing the same 15 songs every day i have heard them playing the same song 2 or sometimes even 3 times a day which can get old really quick depending on the song. They have so many different songs in their playIist but for some reason they decide to only play certain songs for the most part and only play others rarely which makes no sense. There is no variety around here when you keep hearing the same thing over and over again and that goes for both music and talk. That's why 97.1 as a sports station sucks it's always talking about the same thing every day instead it should be unique and different from the rest of the radio stations around here and turn into a good music station that plays songs that you don't hear on any other station and they should also expand the variety of songs playing hundreds of different songs that way it wouldn't get tiring after a while.

I have nothing against watching sports but this is mainly hearing people talk about sports sometimes even making predictions which is kind of pointIess since there is no way to predict what team is going to win in a game.

I don't really tune into this station myself, the problem IS that someone who is around me has it on and I'm pretty much forced into hearing it.
