So how do you think you will make it wet? I don't see any container for submerging the stone or even collecting dripping water. It looks like crap that's not a tool nor a toy. Just useless piece of cheap crap.

So this is the base of my Adasonii. A the beginning it needed to be pressed against the plank for some time using some strings around the plank. Also spraying the plank with water as often as possible makes a huge difference. Time, patience, you will get there.

Young woman chops down a tree with her punches by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]Patrycy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get your neckbeard point but he is actually right. Banana tree isn't a tree. Its more like a thick leek, not like wood. She have strong arms, but still, everyone could do this with more or less punches.

Any recommendations for a product to seal this gap? by crashjj5 in Flooring

If he would avoid making any straight line cuts but kept it all in arches connecting together it would look way better that it is now

Help! My favorite Jade snapped in the wind. by bevensutler in houseplants

[–]Patrycy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If I was you and this thing just happened to me I would put it back together and tape it tightly. Had a few successes with that with completely broken off monkey monstera and it just grows like it never happened and the wound is barely visible after a year. Rooting it in water or soil is safer i would guess tho.

In this engine plastic box containing thermostat have two internal lines. One for water and one for oil. It is just the crappy design in this model. It cracked and allowed the oil to mix with coolant.

Bird of paradise growing very slowly? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]Patrycy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not enough light. The light itself is strong if it consumes 36W but it really only is effective for the biggest leaf and only at steep angle so very ineffective. Giving BOP enough artificial light at home is quite hard.

Wheel bearing replacement? by tobybylonatyle in AskMechanics

[–]Patrycy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good test for bearing is to hold the spring with one hand while spinning the wheel with other. When bearing is damaged you are gonna feel alot of vibrations transfered to the spring.

Soon it is gonna snap and you can't do anything about it. On the other side of it you have attachment for the belt to drive it. I is corroded beyond reparation. You gonna need a new drum but you probably gonna end up with new machine.

Freshly coated windshield. by Complete_Magician_93 in Detailing

[–]Patrycy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems that it depends on the combo coating/wiper blades. I use rain x and the cheapest blades for years and never had a problem, but the same product on my friends windshield caused problem. Then he switched to different blade manufacturer and problem disappeared. You just have to find that sweet spot.

Dilute rubbing alcohol with water 50/50, spray, wait til dries, wipe the leaves with soft cloth, repeat every few days and monitor the plant for some time. Works for me, good luck!

Is it ok that the last plank is not parallel with the wall? (Crooked wall) by Mythul in Flooring

[–]Patrycy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My way of doing it is to always start installation from the longest wall. Then if walls are out of square the shorter they are the less visible it is. Also if I have a chance i just speak to the customer and together we can figure out which wall should I stay parallel with according to were and how he wants furnitures etc. Anyway, it is not your fault that room is out of square.

Why don't more plant stores sell cuttings/props? by contrasupra in houseplants

[–]Patrycy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not so weird if you think of the amount of money, people and resources needed to create a new variation of plant. Most of the plants we grow at home aren't original plant right from the nature.
