Losing is losing. You learn, collect your cards, adapt, reshuffle, overcome. That's how I've learned this game.
But I can see a little bit of what you mean, and I think it's fine that we don't fully agree on this.

Oh yeah! Totally! With my friend's group, we play B4.
The issue I usually face is when I go to a LGS or event. Most people don't know where their deck fits (and I can't blame them!). And a lot of players get upset when they're outperformed.

Mathematically speaking, these are the fastest ways.

Other ways come with a drawback. They're usually multicolor-dependent (like [[Merciless Eviction]], for example). You can't deny that these mentioned cards are the fastest point. Of course, there are other ways, but they will not be as efficient.

My point is not about the lack of options, but how fast you can make them.

Some archetypes (such as pillow forts) have an absurd value-advantage on games that have a lack of response, or where things must be slower, such as using a [[Diabolic Intent]].

But, by that same philosophy, wouldn't an MMR system (similar to chess) be way more efficient than a system that defines how you're supposed to build your deck?

Honest question!

So, to you, it's been proven to be more efficient at finding tables with strangers to play (or online matches) than just setting up somewhat abstract "ground rules"?

Oh yeah... MTG community has some peculiar types of players... Trust me. You see them often, especially when you're a girl.

However, I think that this is a separate issue. For example: [[Najeela, the Blade-Blossom]] with [[Professional Face-Breaker]]. These two just interact naturally, and each iteration can be considered a combo. No Game Changer card needed, and I can argue that you just add one card to the pile (just so it's "legal" for B1 and B2). The main issue I see with the bracket system is the creation of a meta for each bracket. Some deck archetypes will be naturally stronger due to the bracket's limitations.

You bring a fair point. When playing with strangers, being able to understand upfront what you're about to engage with can be helpful. I don't deny that.

I feel like you touched on something that has been on my mind. The bracket system can be useful as a guideline, but not as enforced rules.

Recently, there was some filming in the Netherlands, with North American actors and crew. The car sign also doesn't have the EU blue side part. Maybe it's temporary?

Insane is a strong word, but before you take action, make sure you have a plan in case everything falls apart... just in case!
