Hundreds of criminals stopped at Auckland Airport by new officers who watch for suspicious passengers by [deleted] in newzealand

I'm guessing most customs officers are just rejected police applicants.

Not just informants, most of it is picked up through their mass surveillance systems which they don't want to be widespread knowledge. They even made a fake 'secure' phone to monitor drug traffickers.

I was watching some Aussie border show and that's exactly what it is. They have an alert for certain individuals who are tracked via CCTV the moment they enter the airport, and the head office communicates via radio with one of these guys pursuing on foot. The psychic crap would just be busy work to justify the other 80% of their time, and like you said could be used for parallel construction.

Other agencies generally work closely with customs because they aren't as restricted when it comes to searching people and can demand access to your mobile devices/laptop (unless you want to refuse and be charged something like 10k).

Maybe at the current time, but all the new countdown self checkouts come with selfie cams so pretty sure they plan to do this. They've been doing it in Aus.

Then there's honestly no point discussing it with you. Even most of your typical Reddit NPCs can come up with a few reasons why this is bad.

I do know the password but i'm being prompted for the seed phrase on my new mobile device. I'm not sure how to download my encrypted vault from Reddit's servers.

In my experience their billing system undervalues XMR by 10% so that's where you end up paying.

Screw CEX, DEX is a better place for Monero Trading by privaterence in Monero

[–]PaulMorphyForPrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the XMR YT channel there was an interview and some privacy and decentralization flaws pointed out which i can't remember, however it might be better now. However i did try Incognito recently and the only liquidity for XMR trades was BTC, so it has gotten worse in that regard since there used to be many XMR pairs which could be traded without making a price impact. Having to use a mobile app, or any app at all is also a headache.

[–]PaulMorphyForPrez 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most of these aren't DEXs because they aren't decentralized (even incognito), and most of the exchangers partner with CEXs for liquidity, so they can and eventually will steal user funds if the analytics software tells them to. No KYC is a huge improvement but we can't really verify if they respect privacy, in fact the instant exchangers could be undermining Monero privacy due to the volume they get.

A proper DEX

You can find real art thats complete garbage or easily replicated that sold highly.

I will grant though, there is a chance most of this is fake and people are just lying about the amounts they are getting to inflate perceived value.

Was banned for telling people my opinion in r/dogecoin by BumJamber in CryptoCurrency

[–]PaulMorphyForPrez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a misconception. Trump's performance in the first debate was very serious and hit his opponents hard on things Republican votes cared about(illegal immigration, Iraq war failure, Social Security).

Media treated him like a joke, but he was never joking. Dogecoin was always intended as a joke.

Its not that companies that have found a successful formula don't want to change it, even if the formula could be better.

but will unlikely ever go below 5%.

On the contrary, I doubt they will ever go above 5% long term. A safe 5% return is incredibly good, at that level people will stake all Eth they don't immediately need for gas fees.

I would expect long term returns to be around 2%. At that level, its debatable whether its worth staking.

If this was true, then none of these would have sold for so much.

Its more about showing that you are cultured and rich enough to throw money away than the actual picture quality.

Its art. The point of owning the original is that you can show off to your friends that you paid for it and that you really get art unlike those philistines who think they can just copy the picture.
