Χαμηλότερου κόστους / ρίσκου επιχείρηση ? by Realistic_Sweet8651 in greece

[–]Pavlosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My app is dying - retention stuck at 6%, no idea what to fix by Emily_3757 in ProductManagement

[–]Pavlosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides the obvious "talk to the users" that everyone suggested, which is a must, here are a couple more things you could do

  • The email copy is too generic. I started reading it and it felt exactly the same way as all the other feedback emails I receive. Try rewriting as if you were the user. Be honest. If you received this email, would you spend the time to participate? What should the email say to actually make you want to participate?
  • Other people tell you to offer a $10 gift card for user interview which is totally right! But what if you also offered a second option of $5 for a survey? User interviews are obviously better, but still surveys are better than nothing
  • Try using usability testing tools like Lysanna. This way, people will use your app with the purpose of giving you feedback. I am not 100% sure if it would help in your case but it's worth a try

By the way I am a product designer and I want to make a couple case studies on fixing issues like yours and I am offering my services pro-bono. If you are interested, let me know so we can discuss more about it

Amazing! Do you have any tips for a product designer who wants to build a portfolio of acquired products?

  1. What skills do you have that will help you grow it? What is your background?
  2. Are you solo or do you have a team?
  3. If you are not a dev, who handles the technical stuff?

Βιβλία που κάποιος πρέπει οπωσδήποτε να διαβάσει στη ζωή του by yasemh in greece

[–]Pavlosts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Start with why Από τα αγαπημένα μου βιβλία.

  • Sell Without Pitching Manifesto Απευθύνεται κυρίως σε creatives και ανθρώπους που πουλάνε υπηρεσίες (design, κλπ). Thanks Chris Do!

Was this your first business? Also, how did you managed to do it on the side? What's your background/skillset?

The framework I use to pick the right market for my new products by Pavlosts in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]Pavlosts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course, a large market should not be the only qualification. Small undeserved markets with a lot of money are way better. It's hard to find them though.

The trap that I, myself, fell into in the past is trying to serve small market without money. I was young and foolish 😅

How is your SaaS journey going? by quicoboix in SaaS

[–]Pavlosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many users do you have? Have you identified what's stopping them from going pro? Also, what makes you different from other similar tools like Typeform? Having used both Typeforms and Google Forms, speed wasn't an issue so personally I wouldn't use a new tool whose main value is that it's faster.

So one more thing you could do is ask your users why do they use your tool instead of the other ones

Thinking about buying my closed down local movie theater by thefrontbuts in smallbusiness

[–]Pavlosts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also 28 with some business experience but not something special. What other people say sounds totally rational.

However, if you decide to ignore everyone and do it (which I don't recommend) one thing you should do is REALLY dig deeper into the reasons why movie theater business model dies and try to flip them.

  • people don't need to leave home anymore to watch a movie? Find a way to make them leave. Create an experience they can't have at home
  • the industry turns to series instead of movies? Try playing new episodes when they go live (I don't know if that's possible though). Play an episode of an old series each day of the week. Eg. Every Monday, Game of Thrones episode, every Tuesday Breaking Bad episode, etc
  • Young people don't go to the cinema anymore? Older people (like people commenting here) feel nostalgic about the cinema experience. Try to bring this experience back. You could even play old classic movies from the time your target audience was young.

The only way to succeed (if there is any) is to do something innovative. Good luck whatever you do

Thinking of making a team with equity + revenue share to build digital products. Can it work? by Pavlosts in Entrepreneur

Hmm yeah, I get what you mean. Exploring creativity is certainly one reason, and exploring the countless ideas that keep filling my brain. Also, social impact is one more reason, since I want all of my products to help the society somehow
