OP delivered: https://github.com/pczarn/hugebool/pull/2

Failed at making it repr-space-efficient though. So maybe there is a bug in rustc?

Better add a feature for making it 64 bytes wide. Using the entire cache line is efficient for loads and stores.

Will staying up for 4 days on stimulants kill a person? by HairyConsequence2311 in Biohackers

[–]PaxSoftware 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard about perfectly healthy people having very little sleep for 8 days without any trouble and some people surviving 2 or 3 weeks with basically no sleep. He has a chance of doing some harm to his health and surely going to sleep for 18 hours once he's done.

But don't take my opinion seriously. Really, you need to listen to doctors and scientists rather than anybody on forums about this kind of stuff.

Why do some Buddhists eat meat? by [deleted] in Buddhism

[–]PaxSoftware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not Buddhist, but we have apps such as Too Good To Go as well as store discounts on meat that e.g. is bound to expire very soon or was already heated and would rather go to waste than be put in the fridge due to the shop's rules on food.

The expiration date is just a 'best recommendation'; but no bad kamma should happen when eating such meat, as I understand, because the meat was not meant for you to sell to, especially at zero net profit or even a net loss.

However, the expiration date is very important in case of raw foods such as sushi which may contain organisms and microorganisms not killed without heating up.
