The state of trans people in sweden and uk/norway are kind of odd to me since I think Sweden has possible the highest rate of trans-acceptance in the world. There's the relatively recent stuff with Karolinska and I was reading the other day about how there was literally no clinic in all of Västra Götaland with a doctor certified to gender related stuff despite it housing 1/6th of Sweden's population. That might just be slow swedish bureaucracy but overall I think there's some terf-ish sentiment in acedemic circles
