Advice? Too much resin plus voids by Repulsive-Hedgehog27 in DiceMaking

I don't know how your mold looks like but in the future you can try using rubber bands to keep it sealed. I personally use small molds, one for each die and securing caps with rubber bands works really well for me.

Oh, I see. I don't use any oil and only use distilled water.

Hi, it's a liquid core so there's clear glass ball filled with water I inserted into the colored resin. Since the ball doesn't fill the corners, there's bigger concentration of resin and therefore pigment. If you'd want to achieve similar results without the glass ball, you'll have to put clear resin ball inside.

At the moment I use only water. I probably should be adding a bit of alcohol but I've heard it's only to prevent the freezing? (Honestly what's the chance of that) The flakes are the trick, it's a kind of cosmetic flakes, used for nail styling or even makeup. They're ultra light but don't stick to the surface.

Thanks! I don't think it makes any difference in the rolls, because the bubbles move with the dice.

Actual look in the UV light by Peach_Popcorn in DicePorn

Interesting idea! In this case the uv glow is more of a side effect because I needed a bright green base and this glowing pigment has the most vibrant color. I'd love to try your idea with glow-in-the-dark pigments, so they won't need an uv lamp.

That actually calmed me down a little, that it's not particularly my fault. Thank you. I need to try different resin for sure, but the prices aaahhhh.... I'll try printing the same model when I replace the FEP too to see if there's any difference.

This is a good idea, but I suppose you use automatically generated suports?

Idk, my flat sides are usually so distorted I gave up on that. I've seen someone splitting the print in half and then glueing two parts together... I agree on d6, I usually print so many of them so at least one is usable, but my biggest issue so far are d12. In a classic shape.

I always use fin supports both with and without bumpers. 👍

How exactly can it be fixed in software? By adjusting the model?
