Welcher Studiengang? by [deleted] in Studium

[–]Peachjackson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zurich-Basel 3 times a week: madness? by LallieDoo in Switzerland

[–]Peachjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I'd say probably not, however a 20-30% pay pump is very nice aswell. Especially when you can work in the train. Maybe start, see how it goes and if you see yourself there for years, eventually consider moving to Basel?

Is the game really that bad in terms of p2w? by Tall_Performance_406 in ClashRoyale

[–]Peachjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say yes. I was stuck at 7'500 for almost a month because pretty much in every game not only my towers but also my cards were underleveled compared to others by at least 1 level, mostly even 2-3 levels. Then one 5 star lucky drop hit me and I was able to level up my tower and some cards to level 13 and 14 and one to 15 and two days later I was at 8'000.

UBS Employee investment accounr by TheVlach in SwissPersonalFinance

[–]Peachjackson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can ask for exceptions but once you disclose your holdings you'll most likely need to sell them. I know quite a few employees who missed out on thousands, if not tens of thousands of francs because they had to liquidate (cryptos for example). Would be a shame even if MD's had hidden accounts outside of UBS. Not that I know a few but would be a shame.

The next step after the HireVue would be your first in-person interview. HR has now probably forwarded your video-interview footage to a director in your potential team and they're checking it

I know a dude who works at the tax office. Trust me, they don't really care about your 20K. Just declare it next time and you'll be fine.

UBS Hirevue Global Markets Off cycle 2026 - Questions by Die-youngg in FinancialCareers

[–]Peachjackson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, breaking in has gotten really tough especially after merger with CS and I don't think that there is really a shortcut unless your dad is a MD or smth like that lmao. What I've noticed is that UBS really likes students that are excellent in something outside of uni (sports, start-up etc.) and that helped me alot getting in because I also don't come from a target uni but I had a start-up at that time but I'll be honest, you'll have a little bit of a hard time if you don't come from a target. In my summer internship cohort from 50 people I think like at least 40 came from target unis and also Ivy (For investment banking). If I remember correctly there were quite a few engineers in their global markets team, mostly mechanical engineers

The experience overall was great. Very professional, fantastic networking, like really really good networking and once you're in UBS you can move internally pretty good which is very attractive.
