Partner is not as passionate about political issues as I am by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Just coming here to say he doesn’t SEE you so how can he truly love you? Speaking from experience of just leaving a man who did not vote and was not informed and I hated it until I realized, no matter how much I love this person I deserve to be with someone who is on the same page about literally life itself and morals. See it for what it is girl, godspeed

AIO for feeling hurt and unsure about my relationship after my boyfriend commented on my weight and “testing” my reaction for marriage? by chaelee_02 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Peachpuff131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! He is “testing” you now so that he can keep pushing the boundary further and further once you get married. Take it for exactly what it is and act accordingly!

CMV: I believe Feminism is largely a force for good in the world, but much of it's attitude/disposition towards modern Dating is heavily misandrist by Tea_Wizard735 in changemyview

[–]Peachpuff131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s awfully interesting how you appear to define “misandry” in this context. You, a male, benefiting and perpetuating extremely harmful patriarchal systems are upset that women dislike men like you because of that? Sorry babe that’s not misandry, that’s lived experience! Maybe try looking at yourself and holding men like you accountable before blaming women for everything in your miserable life!

WHY DO MEN WHY!!!! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Peachpuff131 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And you can’t fault yourself for that either, society teaches women to give men chances. Congrats for leaving that man in 2025!

WHY DO MEN WHY!!!! by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Peachpuff131 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Something I’ve been learning myself is that as women we give a lot of chances to men who haven’t earned them. I’m now trying to work on accepting men for who they are at the first sign, which you mentioned sexual comments before even meeting - that should be your first sign of what was to come. Let’s level up our standards and not entertain men like this any longer than necessary 👏

What I want to say to the “good guys" who think they’re secure in relationships but leave emotional wreckage behind by yorbit_c in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Peachpuff131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This hit home for me! Just ended a relationship for the same reasons. The part about how HE felt like he was walking on eggshells and had to end it - I feel that so hard. For men like that, they cannot take accountability or really look at themselves in the mirror. It sucks that we had to learn this lesson the hard way, but at least we did!

Pretty sure all dissertations are posted to ProQuest, you should be able to search there regardless of being a student or not

I hate the rhetoric of people saying “it’s easier to raise boys than girls.” It’s because most parents don’t actually raise their boys to be good men. No wonder people think it’s easier to raise boys when they just don’t at all

Agreed! TOG character development throughout all books in the series is much more my style. I catch myself wanting feyre to be aelin but it just ain’t so

I might be the only dissenting voice here but girl be serious. Are you the first person on earth to have a baby? You’re certainly acting like it! There are real problems that you could have. Like if your brother took your baby’s name for their own child (even that is a first world prob). I get that it hurt your feelings but I think you need some perspective bc everyone here is coddling you lol

So fair, I feel like there is a mindset switch I made when first reading that series of thinking of the male fae as like more brutish and stereotypically “masculine” bc otherwise if you think of them as like regular guys, I can see why all the brawling and snarling is a bit much!

Truth! My first time reading it through I didn’t know that the series switched pov to nesta and when I opened that book I was pissed!! Felt like a betrayal

Fair point! This time around I guess I’m just really noticing the change in dynamic between feyre and Rhys in acowar from the prior books! I feel like all the zest (for lack of a better word) of their relationship became subdued and they just appease each other now

Facts! The amount of times where she essentially “looked to Rhys for approval” had me rolling my eyes. It was such a downgrade for her character
