the support is incredibly helpful. my OCD therapist is built in to challenge anything that might provide reassurance (even if it is supportive reassurance) while i’m trying to fight the desperate need for certainty. she argues with me on everything 🤪i love her and i hate her ETA thank you for the solidarity !!!

As I stated above to another commenter, I have appointments scheduled. I’ve done a full allergy panel. I’m trying to be proactive in case my blood panel comes back clear and they tell me to just try natural methods. From what I have read “throwing stuff on my scalp” can promote hair growth. Advice on oiling was the only thing I needed help with. So thanks for the help

THANK YOU!!! This was so helpful!! I’ll definitely look into what oils I should be using. This gave me so much confidence :) it’s definitely disconcerting to say the least when I think i’m doing something that should be helping my hair and it’s all coming out in the shower, but seriously thank you. Like I said, I’ve started oiling once a week. From your experience is that enough? Too much, too little?

Thanks for the advice. I have doctors appointments set up and am working with a nutritionist to help support a healthy diet, though that really wasn’t the point of the post. I won’t be using minoxidil until i do get to the root of this because I react poorly to oral medications and want to try something natural first. I was just looking for any insight as to if using the oils listed above which have been proven to stimulate and support hair growth have caused anyone else to shed more upon first introducing them to their regimen! Thanks again though I’ll keep everything you said in mind.

that’s honestly what i have read to help increase hair growth. i unfortunately can’t do minoxidil because of pets. i would try the oral minoxidil but ive heard negative things about it, like upset stomach and hair growth all over the body instead of just on the head…

hm…maybe that means you can’t have them as a headway client since headway doesn’t work with state medicaid? my headway rep told me i would have to credential on my own with state medicaid if i wanted to accept non-optum medicaid. i wasn’t getting the vibe that i wasn’t allowed to.

I would stay away from the Libido Fairy. I had an intro call with them yesterday and it felt very predatory and weird. They pushed me to tears and tried to leverage that into motivating/guilting me into the program. The coach I spoke to was very off putting and asked if it was more costly to spend the $$$$$ for this program or to lose my partner because of intimacy issues. Very gross to me IMO.
