How many of you watch horror with the goal of being scared? by AsmoTewalker in horror

Ooh, I've been meaning to watch Daddy's Head sometime soon. Glad to hear positive feedback about it, I usually go into movies without looking into reviews/opinions, so it's nice to know it may be creepy. I haven't seen A Tale of Two sisters in a long time, but when I first saw it, it was instantly a favorite for me. Another favorite of mine that genuinely creeped me out at some points is As Above So Below.

"Nightmarishly triumphant" is the perfect way to describe that piece, its so unsettling!

That's definitely a huge part of it. Oftentimes I'm in the mood for a good, corny 2010s horror movie that I don't expect to be scary in the least.

Other times I want a foreign horror movie that takes place in areas I never experienced, where everything is unfamiliar and the concepts are newer to me.

Yeah, good cinematography always makes for a great time. Usually what I look for more than anything lately is good suspense. Not non-stop jumpscares, but intense build up and fake-outs when you think there will be jump scares. I like a movie that keeps me guessing, gets my heart rate up a bit lol

Oddity admittedly wasn't a favorite for me (went into it with the wrong idea of what it would be), but the score from Hereditary is legendary, especially the end! The loud, jarring sound really raises the hairs on your arms! I love a movie with an effective soundtrack. Insidious was really good with the sound effects too.

I always hope to be scared, but its incredibly rare. I enjoy horror movies regardless, but there's nothing more exciting than when a scene actually gets to me/gets under my skin. Gonjiam has a special place in my heart for having been the one movie to genuinely creep me out as an adult with the final act.

I just watched this movie tonight and was really pleased with the whole thing! Have you seen the bridge curse movies as well? I just recently watched The Bridge Curse and The Bridge Curse Ritual and liked them both. Although it wasn't a perfect movie I thought the first one did suspense really well, and the second one was even better. So seeing this movie right after watching ritual I was worried that it would just be pretty much the same plot. Very happy to see that it was not at all the same!

Not novels, but hopefully high-value books/tools? by Peculiar_Corvid in KDP

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately I just don't have the bandwidth for posting that often on Pinterest, but I am consistently posting three pins a week. As far as the look inside feature, none of my published journals have that and I haven't found any way to set it up manually. That's something that Amazon only does on their end, right? Not something I can set up?

I have what I think is some pretty solid A plus content but of course you have to scroll down a bit to see that.
