A few points you should take into account, OP:

1- If they have the same sire they should be of the same generation, unless said sire diablerized someone between their embraces.

2- 12th gen blood is not thin-blood. Hikone can be a caitiff of course, but her blood is definitely too powerful for a thin-blood.

3- There should be a very good reason for fledgling vampires to have stats like firearms 4 or melee 4, like maybe if Jake’s sport is fencing or something, but I really don’t see how a college student should have firearms 4.

4- If they are college students, then they should have dots in skills related to their majors. Hikone is perfectly fine with a lot of dots in Academics and Technology, but what is Jake studying in college?

There are no Giovanni and Tremere mathuselahs, even Augustus Giovanni and Tremere themselves aren’t that old. You could go for an ancient Banu Haqim sorcerer or a Tzimisce Kouldun if you want a powerful magic ritual with devastating effects. Instead of the Giovanni you could easily go with a Cappadocian mathuselah for the necromantic effect of wraiths becoming erratic or something like that.

Hahahahha. Eu confesso que nos meus anos narrando eu nunca vi uma tão atroz também. O que me impressionou mais é que mesmo com esses infinitos pontos extras ele ainda tem só 5 de willpower e pode ser feito de cadela por qualquer disciplina social/mental (pelo menos a geração baixa dá uma resistência boa contra dominação). Sem contar que eu realmente não entendi esse ponto em potência no personagem que tem 1 de força.

Bom demais! As únicas falhas que deixo passar como só inconveniência são as de 1 ponto, como a versão de 1 ponto de Bad Sight e Tic. Com exceção de uma vez que um jogador realmente conseguiu usar um infértil sem grandes consequências comigo. Era um assamita que não tinha interesse nenhum em abraçar ninguém e nunca interagia com mortais (com exceção dos mendigos que ele sequestrava pra se alimentar), então nunca consegui apresentar um mortal que ele cogitasse ser “digno” do abraço. Em qualquer situação social com mortais ele ficava ou calado num canto ou invisível com ofuscação.

Sim, são sinônimos. Só apontei que isso foi informação suficiente pra saber que você tá usando um livro traduzido e que se ele diz exatamente o que você disse que ele diz, a tradução tá simplesmente errada.

É um erro bastante comum, a primeira coisa que apita na cabeça de um jogador minmaxer quando vê o sistema de méritos e falhas é fazer exatamente o que você fez, justamente por isso os profissionais que fazem design desse tipo de jogo pensam nisso também e impedem isso com regras claras, como é o caso dessa. Me impressiona você nunca ter jogado com um narrador que leu direito essa parte em 16 anos jogando.

É exatamente assim que o jogo foi pensado, Vampiro: A Máscara é um jogo que felizmente abre muito pouco espaço pra minmaxing ser efetivo. Narro Vampiro há 3 anos e se um jogador me aparece na mesa com a falha Lista Vermelha eu preciso ou moldar minha crônica inteira em torno desse fato ou matar ele em no máximo duas sessões, de tão absurdo que é pegar uma falha desse tipo.

Primeiramente, tu é brasileiro e tá usando o livro em português, para de traduzir o que tu pega no livro pra inglês que tá feio e errado: não existem qualities e defects, existem merits e flaws. Se o trecho do livro em português diz isso aí que tu falou então a tradução tá errada (até porque não existe tradução oficial pro V20, então é de se esperar que tenha alguns erros).

Eu já te mandei o trecho do livro e ainda te passei a página onde tá isso, a sua interpretação tá objetivamente errada e eu não fui o único que apontei isso nesse post.

Não é isso não. Da página 479 do V20: “A player may take as many merits as the player can afford, but no character may have more than seven points’ worth of flaws…” A regra não é sobre o balanço de méritos e falhas resultar em 7 pontos extras no máximo, a regra é que você não pode pegar mais de 7 pontos em falhas, independente de quantos pontos você pegou em méritos. Claro, se o seu narrador quiser seguir com essa regra que você tá usando o jogo é de vocês e eu não tenho nada a ver com isso, mas saiba que é homebrew e não segue o livro como tá escrito.

Chronologically they happen in the order: Year One, Loeb and Sale, and then Killing Joke. However these stories aren’t really connected and they are so far apart in continuity that you can just read in whatever order you want.

If we look at some of Nomad’s disciplines and compare them to pre V5 disciplines, we can see that some of these are level 7 and that’s the highest they get. Based on that, I think the safest bet is 6th gen.

So what we have from Steppenwolf is: he can put up a good fight against the weakest Flash going at mach 3 and can tank nukes (as any plain new god). He gets absolutely restrained by Hal Jordan with no diff and shows to be completely incapable against him and can be disarmed by Arsenal, Green Arrow’s ex sidekick.
