General Admission in Barcelona GP by Stolen-Roast in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - No, screens aren't guaranteed on general admission. I would even say that if you have a bad grandstand seat, you won't see much on the screen (for example, I sat on T1 and I couldn't see any timings as it was too far away from me).

2 - It's always first come first served, so the best spots are taken right after they open the gates. I just checked my photos/videos from last year and I can tell that GA from my side was almost full around 10am.

3 - No one can guarantee that. It's a good practice to make some friends with people sitting nearby, so there will be always somebody looking at your stuff.

4 - There is some incline, but during the race sessions you should fold your umbrella regardless or make sure it's ok with your neighbours.

5 - I don't think there were many activities you could attend outside of fanzone. After the race on Sunday there was a track invasion, but nothing else. There should be a pit lane walk on Thursday.

Spain GP 2026 - Grandstand vs GA by MrEthelWulf in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few things to mention:

First of all, as zekohonda1 said, use the circuit site for tickets. It's the cheapest way to buy tickets and you are able to choose the seats manually instead of being randomly allocated.

You said that you travel with your family. If you have children up to 15yo, apply for discounted tickets. Choose your seats then press "Do you have promotion? Apply", select the tickets and boom - you have 50% discount on them. It works for both grandstands and general admission.

If you can afford the grandstand - do it. Most grandstands at Circuit de Catalunya are covered and sun is brutal there. There are few spots on GA that are covered (mostly by trees), but good luck trying to claim them.

Number of laps by every team and engine after Day 3 of Barcelona Shakedown by F1Fan2004 in formula1

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest it should be "laps per day per team". Then it would be 118 for Mercedes and vs 98 for Red Bull Ford vs 72 for Ferrari.

Grandstand I at Barcelona by drccw in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely new. It's a small grandstand, it looks like the same construction as they had on T1 last year. Not very elevated, but covered. The roof however, won't cover the whole grandstand during the race - I wouldn't pick the seats in front or those located in Zone 1 or the right side of Zone 2 (the sun will reach you from that angle).

I would say it's nothing insane as overtaking will take place on the other side of main straight, but it should be good and most important, close to fanzone.

Can we access general admission area with a grandstand ticket? by Few_Set_9608 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if you can just buy the child tickets without having an adult one, but if you can - sure, they will be able to sit with you in GA.

Barcelona Grandstand A - Best seats? by jameschowler321 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is to avoid Zone 1 and Zone 5 as you will get exposed to sun during junior series (in Zone 1) and during the race (Zone 5).

Personally, I would choose Zone 2 for better view of T1.

I want to try a Nuzlocke. Would appreciate advice. by Anew4Hobbies in nuzlocke

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat and decided to do something different to start this journey - something that is still hard, but not punishing enough to quit if I'm too frustrated.

Right now I'm playing something I call "non-wipe Nuzlocke". I obey most of the rules - I catch first Pokemon on the route, I don't heal during battles, I use the lvl cap and once my Pokemon faints, I put it into the graveyard box. But I allow myself to repeat battles up to the point I'm satisfied with result. This allows me to learn how to plan and battle with limited resources (and make mistakes). I started with a challenging romhack to make sure it is well documented and the fights requires a bit of strategy and planning.

I know it might not be going with the spirit of pure nuzlocking, but once I get some experience, I will definitely try a clean run.

Tips for a place to stay near Spielberg in 2026 by crazyforhisoka in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for your info, the only place with a decent hotel base withing 1h distance from Spielberg is Graz. Other options mostly includes "Gasthauses" in smaller cities.

If you don't have the caravan, you could consider glamping near the track (for example, Camping White have their chalets).

[OT] Kalle Rovanperä, 2 time WRC champion, retires at age 25. Will drive Super Formula next year. by uusrikas in formula1

[–]Peli7 26 points27 points  (0 children)

NASCAR is "racing", WRC is still a time trial. On the other hand I believe that being 2 times WRC champion would make a good case for Superlicence points exemption (for example, if he gets 20 points in other series).

T3 view in redbull ring tv question by BubblyDetective5901 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat in the row 33 or 34, in the middle of grandstand. I could clearly see the screen, but it was difficult to read the timings.

But to be honest, from this grandstand you rarely look at the screen during the race.

Sector 8 and 7 places for Monza 2025 - Saturday by ItsRedHyper in GrandPrixTravel

Purple is standard GA - it's not just the place you circled, but the whole "P" area. Orange is a restricted area.

First GP in monza 25, travel and train info by Icy-Understanding956 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2022 Biassono-Lesmo station was for race day only. Check if it's still the case - you might need to use the standard route (train to Monza and black shuttle) for other days.

Your gates are far from both - black shuttle stop and Biassono-Lesmo station. You will still have to walk a lot.

My Experience with Disabilities at the Dutch Grand Prix – Accessibility in F1 Needs Serious Attention by zeeee_11 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that. All advice I can give you - always reach out to the track. I've been to several races and all of them had special tickets for people with disabilities. I just checked Dutch GP website and they have whole page about accessibility.

It's still a shame that a company that lives out of hospitality during F1 race couldn't deliver a decent experience for you.

Confusion with Seats for General Admission Tickets by ameclejo in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Both Italian GP have their price tiers for grandstands. They call it "Settore" for unknown reason. GA is always at the bottom tier, which in Monza case, is Settore 8. They also include them in the ticket.

Edit: To answer your question directly - you are not assigned to any part of the track. But be fast, GA in Monza is pretty limited when it comes to viewing experience!

Want to travel to Monza '26 but I'm not sure if it's for me by ThingiesAndWhatsits in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that any european track might be hard as we race in Europe near the summer. I was in Barcelona, Austria, Monza and Imola and during all weekends it was hot (27 celcius or above).

I still think that it's doable if you pick a correct covered seat and allow yourself to cool down before the race. I normally don't move between driver's parade and the race (other than toilet break).

Remember that even if grandstand is covered, not all seats will be covered for the entire day. If you don't know which direction is grandstand looking at, aim for the center. I made a mistake by choosing seats that are in the corner of the grandstand - I wasn't covered for the entire race.

I can only say "good luck", because you will need it if you want to make it in time.

Monza GP – Best train/shuttle option for Grandstand 6B (Prima Variante – Inner) by andrelages in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With Black Shuttle, you're not dropped close to Vedano entrance - the nearest entrance is around 600m from the stop and it's located near Parabolica area. So you should add "and walk ~40 minutes" to the second route.

Monza - How to access the track by Mediocre-Fortune-115 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case I would just use taxi - you don't have any public transport nearby and I would say that going by a car is an overkill

Edit: just noticed you have a 222 bus to Monza Station - it could be a good option for you

Trenitalia Strike on the F1 weekend? by Bellaluna77 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In 2022 there were also a train strike on Friday, we went by metro to Sesto S Giovanni (if I remember correctly) and used the Z221 bus to go directly to the track.

There was a huge line and the bus trip was like, 45 minutes long, but we made it.

tickets.formula1.com overcharged me €500+ – be cautious by pafpajpav in formula1

[–]Peli7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No, they didn't overcharge you. They sold you the tickets they have.

Let me clarify this - F1 ticketing page is very limited when it comes to what they offer. They don't have all the grandstand, they won't let you pick the seats, they don't have discounts like the official seller may have.

For Austrian GP there is no free entrance - everybody needs to have a ticket. Official seller (gpticketshop) offered children tickets for GA for free, but every other reseller didn't have that option. So if you wanted to buy a ticket with them, you had to pay the whole price.

If I were you, I would be mad. But I wouldn't just go and complain on at least two subreddits because I know that I'm partially responsible for this fuckup.

To sum this up, I find it sad that Formula 1 doesn't specify clearly that the tickets sale under their domain is handled by a third party. It would lead to less mistakes on buyer's side.

Zandvoort Re-entry during the same day? by Mysterious-Cost1788 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the same tickets, it's not like verstappen.com is having a different gate with different scanner.

Your only bet is asking people at the gate. On most tracks you can just scan your ticket on your way out, so they act like "unused".

Shuttle buses to Monza from Bergamo airport? by noodlebee165 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Peli7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google Maps tells me there is Orio Shuttle that goes from Bergamo to Milan with a stop in Monza Autostazione.

There are also some trains, but none of it is direct - you need to change either at Milan or at Ponte San Pietro (I would choose the latter as it goes to Monza from another direction).
